I wanted this chord originally cause my cat chewed through a couple others and it could get expensive replacing them over and over.When I whipped this thing out I was totally surprised and to be honest I'm sure I blushed a little. I can't believe how long it is, the positions I can use this thing with now... blows my mind. I've been limited before receiving this. Id usually just do it on my side but now I can do it on my back or I can even charge my phone and watch netflix while laying on my other side. Something I couldnt do until I decided to go long.Once you go long, short chords feel wrong

So originally when I purchased these I left a 5 star review because finally there was a cord my cats couldn’t chew through. However last night a few months post purchase this cord put my family in serious danger. Thankfully my husband was awake went to plug his charger in a heard a strange electrical popping noise followed by FLAMES coming out of the cord. It completely caught fire melted the metal coating off the outside and burn my floor in my bedroom. If it wasn’t for him being awake and hearing this and seeing the flame we would have likely had a serious house fire last night.I don’t know what could have caused this. My husband believes the cord wasn’t grounded properly and the flame was working its way up to cord towards the outlet.Just beware of this cord. Like I said we were very impressed by the sturdiness but I have never experienced a cellphone cord catching fire this is completely outrageous

Well this just started a fire that luckily we put out quickly! What happened was the metal of the cord doubled back around and touched the charger! And the charger cord itself sparked a huge spark and caught on fire! Luckily I saw the whole thing! Under the metal is some sort of plastic that burnt. We’ve had a house full of charger cords and gadgets for years and this never happened before. I will never get a metal charger cord again! Super scary.Btw I yelled “fire, fire, fire!” and nobody did anything. Luckily I was able to pull the cord out and step on it. One of our teens got a small glass of water to help and was coming over my way, nonchalant. We have fire extinguishers all over the house and nobody came running with one! So we had a little educational moment!!! :/

The media could not be loaded.  So far the new vines have withstood the tiny furrious might of my bunny. They are a nice length but also not too long that they become tangled or difficult to use when traveling. I go this charger cord in hopes they would last against my tiny companion, which they have so far as the video shows.

The media could not be loaded.  I was skeptical, but while I was writing this review, my French Bulldog puppy went under my desk and dispatched yet another USB cable (the blue one - see photo). Mind you yesterday when I got this armored cable, I video'd several segments while my "test equipment" went through his chewing and gnawing tests.Glad to say that the cable held up to the Bulldog test. Mind you our puppy now has mostly adult teeth, not the singular prickly fangs that he had as a puppy... but I doubt the cable would have had a problem with even his puppy teeth.The cable is "springy" lengthwise, doesn't feel overly heavy - doesn't really feel much like metal - though it appears to be. The cable(s) however are well armored. I'm SURE Zeus, the French Bulldog, could damage the very ends. They are well made, but the USB A connector would almost certainly be crushed by a strong bite at the very end. I'm not too worried about that, however.I've attached video and still shots of the "test" and results of both a good quality nylon sheathed cable, and this LHJRY cable.After the dog testing, I tried this cable with my Samsung Galaxy S9 + charger and it works in high-speed charge. I paired the cable with a USB-C to USB Micro adapter and attached it to a Galaxy Tab tablet which also worked well. That's good to know because this cable apparently isn't available in the USB micro format. I haven't tried using the cable for data transfer... so can't speak to that aspect.Of course the USB c to USB Micro adapter I used is NOT hardened, so that would be a weak point - but acceptable because the device - and thus the ends are usually out of reach.Unfortunately I could not upload two videos. In the second video I survey the cable and find no damage at all!By the way, our French Bulldog has a reputation for chewing just about anything to bits... and eating the bits. He's chewed through ethernet cables, power cords (which is perhaps the scariest), soda bottles, and more. So having this cable hold up to Zeus' chewing is well worth the price.

The able is strong and fast charges my S8+. I bought them because my rabbit was chewing through regular cables.

I have a rabbit that chews through all cords. He's now chewing through the corrugated plastic coverings and even chewed through the woven power cord that was supposed to be chew free, but was not.

We bought these cords because our kiddos had destroyed our others. They like to chew on them, they have sensory processing disorder, and the fabric covered ones did not last. While these cords lasted from their failed attempts at chewing, the part that plugs into the device broke. The kids had nothing to do with this, it was not something they chewed on. We litterally had to pull pieces out of our kids tablet. They lasted for about two weeks, not worth the money for them to still break.
