I’m 5’11 and weigh 185 lbs. I went with a Large. My decision was based on a complete guess. It ended up working out though. The elastic band on the thigh is a little tight, but the rest fits well. I hope this information helps you. These pads are seriously great for softball though. Just a good word on them.
