Used to love and swear by it, now it's one of my most disappointing products
I bought this serum from whole foods this past spring and loved it. I noticed my skin was smoother and clearer within 2 weeks of use; I truly thought I found my saving-grace product. I purchased it on amazon this fall and it made me break out horribly...I stopped using the product weeks ago and I still have so much redness and bumpiness left in my skin. I thought maybe it was another product so I stopped using everything except a gentle moisturizer for a while, but as soon as I used this again, my skin broke out completely. Also, the scent of the bottle from whole foods was lovely, this bottle has almost a rotten scent despite not being anywhere close to its expiration date.

This stuff WORKS! I have been on a non-stop quest for the perfect (as can be) Vitamin C/Serum. I ran across this brand while reading a misc forum on the WWW and this one was recommend by a user and whatever she said stuck in my head so I track it down here on my favorite internet drugstore....AMAZON.I have been using this less than 1 week and her is what I noticed: My skin felt softer, I had an acne scar on my cheek bc I am a "picker" and it is actually starting to fade (right before my very eyes), and my moisturizer seems to me doing a better job. Yes as a reviewer said it does have a snot-like consistency but it works! I have decided to change my thinking from snot to a silken consistency; much better association. And I have not had the problem of it becoming hard like egg whites if not followed immediately by moisturizer.Misc Details: I use two drops AM/PM after I cleanse and tone. I found 3 to be too much. I let it almost dry then follow with my moisturizer and sunscreen if daytime. I have normal - dry skin, Med-Dark complexion, not may break outs. Between Normal-Dry my skin leans more towards dry.If you have read this far GREAT! Here is what prompted this very impromptu review....I was just at the gym and my neighbor who has not seen me in a couple of weeks saw me and said: WOW what have you done to your skin? It looks great, it looks so hydrated (yes a man said HYDRATED)!!!I have an arsenal of quality skin care products by First Aid Beauty but I believe this Mad Hippe C was the missing link.Hope this helps and this was NOT a review in exchange for trying a free product. Significant brightness, minimized pores and under eye darkness on AA sensitive skin!
I've been seeing issues in my face as I'm getting a bit older (mid 30s, AA) that I do not approve of. One of the new products I've started using is vitamin c serum and this Mad Hippie brand is perfect for me. I've noticed a significant brightness in my skin (including under my eyes which were a bit dark) that is lasting where before using this, any dullness would come and go. Mad Hippie is cruelty free and a more stable version of vitamin c. Directions say to use day and night and that the 1oz is a 30day supply however, I used for 3wks twice a day before changing to once a week (bc I started to implement other products into my routine) and see that the supply is a minimum of two months. So, a decent value. I'm very happy with my purchase, will purchase again.

Makes me look and feel younger
I love this product! I put it on after every shower and follow it with a moisturizer/sun screen. It instantly dries out so you don't feel oily, but you do feel a little bit of a pull on the face. I have dark under eyes and a lottttt of sun spots/freckles and this helped even out the tone of my face a little bit. I recommend it to all my friends

This give me face a glow!
I was hesistant to purchase this because the price was double what I usually pay for Vitamic C serums. I had heard great things about Mad Hippie, so I decided to give it a try. My skin is definitely smoother and my face has a glow to it. I give anything product a couple months to try out before I add it to my permanent regimen, so I will have to see....

Glow in a bottle!
if you are curious about the Mad Hippie line but want to try out something first, this should definitely be it. This stuff is glow in a bottle! After about a week of using it (in the morning combined with the Vitamin A serum at night) I have noticed my skin is so much brighter. I have medium skin, which can get sort of "blah" during winter months. This C Serum is the cure! I love using it in the morning because it has a wonderful citrus scent that helps wake me up in the morning. It feels so nourishing on my skin, I can't live without it!

great product
This is a very light weight serum I put this on and after that I use the face lotion same brand , I have rosacea and this vitamin C doesn't irritate my rosacea as some vitamin C can be aggressive to my problem . I highly recommend this and you cant bit the price for a great quality product.

HG Vitamin C Serum
I’ve been using mad Hippies vitamin C serum for a good 2-3 years and love it just as much! It keeps my skin bright and toned. I’ve noticed that this has also helped with breakouts, due to the type of vitamin c they use (SAP). This form of vitamin c is non irritating and can be used in conjunction niacinamide. I’ll never not buy this vitamin C serum. Seriously. I stopped using it for a couple of months and my skin was so dull and had breakouts pop up again. I use this in the morning most days with Insta Naturals niacinamide serum and use a stronger, non stable vitamin c serum on some nights.

It works for me
I have very sensitive skin. This product has worked out great for me. Not only it gives glow but actually calms my skin down and reduces redness. I suffer from rosacea and used to have prescription antibiotic for this until it stopped working. I bought the sibu oil also, and alternate the two under a moisturiser. My skin looks the best in years.

Product Gone Off
This is a great product, and I've used it for a while now, however this one was gone off. It arrived and was a dark yellow cover (vs. the usual clear) and had a strong scent to it. Usually it doesn't smell at all!

Disappointed
The liquid isn’t right, it is thick and brown coloured. Stopped using it, shame as I have had this product before and the liquid was clearer and runny and worked amazingly. Very disappointed with the quality of this bottle.

Made my skin glowy
I liked this serum - bit watery but it sinks in well and quickly - all organic ingredients and didnt make my skin a ruddy spotty mess as is usual with these types of things on my very sensitive skin - recommended.

Absorbed quickly and not sticky
I really like this and find it is absorbed very quickly and no stickiness, which I had when I made my own. Too soon to say if there is any difference from using it but I'm convinced by the Vit C and skin info out there, so I'm using it daily and hoping for results.

Reduces uneven skin tone
Definitely working wonders on my hyperpigmentation. I've only been using it for 4 days and it's reduced my uneven skin tone across the face. Makes the skin look brighter also.

nice but i think my homemade rosehip oil works better!
it does brighten my skin a bit and feels nice but maybe the vit c content is freshier in my own concoction.sorry but for this price i will prob stick to making it.
