I love the beauty and serenity of the Hawaiian Islands. This coffee has the calm smooth airiness that is the soul of the islands. What I like best about the coffee is that it takes me on a memory trip to paradise. I brew this in a delonghi espresso machine that has a pressurized portafilter, so I am sure I do not bring this coffee to its potential. If you like a good smooth coffee this one will not disappoint, and if you let your mind wander to memories of the islands a slow graceful smile is sure to light your face. For me, the price is too high to buy again, but we will enjoy the experience while it is here. Mahalo

Unremarkable
The beans started their life with potential to represent all that is good in Kona coffee. But the company over roasted, killing that potential and then shipped it out stale well after the roasting with a laughable sticker suggesting an expiration date a year after shipping. Great idea for a product; poor execution.

It is a full bodied (I know it is a medium roast) wonderful coffee. Will order it again
I could smell the deliciousness from the package. It is a full bodied (I know it is a medium roast) wonderful coffee. Will order it again. Yes, it is expensive, but it is worth it. I definitely like medium roast and don't like bitter coffee. This is perfect.

Great smooth coffee
Great smooth coffee. We normally drink Kona blend because of the price. We splurged and ordered this 100% Kona and enjoyed every drop.

Great tasting coffee
Very good coffee, overpriced like all Hawaiian coffee. I'll buy it again but not on a regular basis as the cost is too high.

I Know My Coffee
A real good Kona should have a distinct aroma it should immediately transport you back to the islands. This coffee barely gets you to the end of the block.

Luxury Fine Foods sells 16 at 35
Well this bag is from Lina Epicure, whose web site sells it for 16, while Luxury Fine Foods sold it to me for 35. Shipment was quick, as it the coffee had been ready on the shelf, because it certainly was not roasted recently. To be fair, even 35 a pound is a bit low for top quality Kona.In the bag the smell is faintly of dirty ashtray, in the cup no particular smell, tatse is very smooth, almost bland. I used to drink Kona daily for many years, and this coffee fails to give me anything close to the pleasure I used to have. I would prefer your basic Ethiopian at 18 a pound. I don't know what kind of Kona you can get for 16, but we have in Montreal a company that sells overstock beans which are still better than this. Another quirky thing is that this arrived in a padded envelope, containing the sealed bag from Lina, and also a few loose coffee beans.I have decided to try and return this (or throw it out)
