DEERC Mini Drone Flying Ball Toys for Kids , Gift for Boys Girls

OMG , DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM !!! This drone started on fire just sitting on counter and was not even plugged in to charger. Came home to a burning 🔥 smoke smell and found this. What if this had been in child’s room on carpet or furniture. House could have burned down. DO NOT BUY !!!!

This drone is super easy and fun to fly. It's not very big and the blades are fully enclosed. The directions say to hold the drone in your open hand then release it (which means drop it). However, I found that if you do that it will often drop to the ground before the blades create enough lift to keep it airborne. To avoid this I found that if you hold the drone out about chest high in you open palm and then lightly toss it into the air it seems to work better. My 9 year old daughter enjoyed flying this around the house, although the drone seemed to have a mind of its own and wasn't very receptive to command motions. When we took the drone outside in an open area the drone was more receptive to motion commands. I believe that the drone was mis-identifying objects in the house as motion commands. Overall, for the price this is a super drone and very easy to fly, its great for beginners and kids. I got about 20 minutes of flight time on a single battery charge.

I got this toy for my nephew who always wants to play with my expensive drone and he absolutely loved it. The thing is so easy to use, just turn it on and flick it in the air, grab it and flip it to turn it off, it will fly itself and avoid objects since it has sensors all over. My nephew learned how to use it in less than a minute and after a few days of use this toy is still intact and has not broken or acted weird. Battery charges super fast in about 25 minutes and last at least 5-7 minutes in flight which is perfect. Anyone thinking of getting a safe flying toy for a kid should get this, it's awesome.

It seems to have a difficult time to figure out where ground is when outdoors. It's much more stable indoors, and the most fun, but all is ruined when it bumps into bookshelves or windows which causes it to shutdown and plummet.

My daughter really liked her drone for about 30 minutes. Then it stopped working properly and we discovered that one of the propellers had stopped turning. Unfortunately for me, I bought this long before her birthday and I was unable to return it.UPDATE: the company contacted me and replaced the drone, it has been working fine.

The drone itself is great and fun to play with. The charging cord however is crap, its glued together by the USB end and i reached out to the company and their customer service is AMAZING. They replaced the first drone because the cord broke. Recieved the 2nd and the drone worked great again but the cord lasted like and hour before breaking the same exact way. Luckily, you can use a regular charging cord in place of it but you won't know when the charging is complete as the cord that comes with the drone has a light on it and it turns off when charging is complete.

The media could not be loaded.  This is a family fun toy! I took it with me on our 4 day away.... mainly for my 6yr grandson but turned out everyone loved playing with it!!!

What can I say other then I'm not sure how to review this. On one hand it worked as advertised and the kids enjoyed it, on the other it worked so well it made my kids cry. We only had this for 4 days and until yesterday were really enjoying it. Then it happened. My oldest son threw it up in the air, and well it never came back. It literally flew away!!! It soared high above the houses, then the trees, and eventually became a speck in the sky before disappearing. I couldn't believe it! I had run to get up on the roof to try and knock it down but my efforts were fruitless. There I was, standing on the roof of the garage watching it fly off into the abyss while looking down on my screaming and crying kids in the back yard. The wife and I couldn't help but laugh, but I felt terrible for the boys. So like I said, it worked so well that it never came back down, but also ruined my kids birthday gift.
