King Arthur’s Tools - Patented Guinevere Flexible Drill Shaft with 0-3/8" Chuck - Rotary Tool Extension - Works with Guinevere Inflatable Sanders - # 11310

This flexible shaft is driven by a bench-mounted motor (also by King Arthur's Tools) and usually has a 2" soft-back sanding pad on it. I use it to sand irregularly shaped bowls. Much easier than using a Dremel-type tool and drill (batter or corded.) Some reviews question the durability of this shaft, but that's to be expected on something that is constantly flexing and rubbing against the inside of the sheath it is in. So fo, mine has not shown any signs of wearing out. If it does, I'll probably get another one of these (same manufacturer, same model.)

Ive never found a flexible drill extentiont his long, this versatile, or one that tranfers force as well as this one. It in combination with my right angle drive, i can reach anyrhing thing with my drill. I still think its over priced for what it is, but you really cant beat the functionality of this tool for its applied purpose

Replaced a broken one, and it was a perfectfit.

Works well, as long as it lasts, and it's pretty expensive for something I have to replace three or four times a year. I suppose I should be a little easier on it, but I'm not a big husky guy. Anyway, the only other flex shafts I know of are a lot weaker.

I got the shaft on this er.. flexible shaft that is and I am glad I did. Works just great with Guinevere.

I am a fan of the Guinevere sanding system, but the flexshaft is the weak link. These are quite expensive, and do not hold up well. I have gone through several, the last broke immediately and I have been waiting weeks for a replacement from the distributor, who tells me that they have had a lot of them break recently and are waiting for a new shipment. You are better off with the cheaper version available on Amazon for $25, it is not as long but it works fine and seems durable, and has a keyless chuck as well.
