Very comfortable shoe
I bought these to replace a 7-year-old pair of Cotswold Stonehouse shoes which had finally got too scruffy.Pleased to say that they are just as comfortable. The sizing is maybe slightly generous, but pretty close to expected fit. It's a nice light shoe with a synthetic sole. Based on my previous pair, it's good for light to medium wear over a decent length of time. If you expect to have a stout, hard-wearing pair of shoes that will last forever, I suspect you should look elsewhere. The waterproof membrane seems to work well and certainly copes adequately with rain and puddles.

Disappointed in the longevity
These shoes were really comfortable however the soles wore out and leaked very quickly and I was told by a cobbler that they could not be re-soled due to the design of the shoe. The soles should have lasted a lot longer than they did considering the price of the shoe and they were not used heavily for walking long distances. Not recommended for for anything more than light use.

Bought three pairs now
A little on the large size as I am 9.5 but these are only available, for me, as size 10, so I wear thick socks with them. I wear them a lot and they are wearing incredibly well. After a year or more of wearing these I bought two more pairs, as I saw them on offer, and they are now in the cupboard ready and waiting. No sign whatsoever of splitting, or falling apart, or the leather cracking or peeling. I seem to remember that they were a little uncomfortable at first and the heels were a tiny bit higher than my previous shoes, but now I am very used to them. Soles are very tough and hard wearing so they may seem a little hard at first. Soles are extremely well attached to the uppers.Great for muddy and wet weather as they are waterproof.

Fit comfortably and could be worn for a whole day from new. So far so good on the waterproof aspect. After wearing more cushioned shoes the sole is rather hard and less supporting but they never claimed to offer this.So far shining up well and haven't shown any obvious signs of wear but they are still very new.

Comfortable, waterproof, well finished
I have previously bought several pairs of these shoes from a high street retailer, but unfortunately that retailer has now retired. Shoes are lightweight and comfortable, and waterproof, as they have a gusseted tongue and are lined with some kind of membrane. They seem to be available online at a wide range of prices, but the best one I found was ShoesbyClaire, in Scotland.

Cotswold Sudeley waterproof shoes
Bought them for my husband who kept getting his feet wet and he assures me that the Cotswolds keep him dry even when going through puddles!
