Excellent for Small Senior Dogs!
Royal Canin X-Small Adult 8+ Dry Dog Food is perfect for my small senior dog. The kibble size is just right for her tiny mouth, and she enjoys the taste. I've noticed an improvement in her energy levels and coat condition since switching to this food. The 2.5 lb bag is convenient and lasts a while. Highly recommended for anyone with a small, older dog!

Very good food
We’ve been using this brand for years for our 3 dogs. We made the switch after previous brands had recalls that scared us. One of our dogs is going to be 18 soon so I have no complaints!

Dog loves it.
I accidentally bought the 8+ for my 2 year old dog. I have bought before for my older dogs and it was still in my history so I didn’t realize I bought for the older dogs who are no longer with me. I will say my dogs lived a very long healthy life while eating royal canin. My dog was 19 and I finally had to let go. He was very healthy and energetic but the years, eventually, took a toll on his quality of life. I did go ahead and fed it to my 2 year old, she loves it as did my other dogs. I think they especially like the small bites. My dogs are about 17 lbs but I always by the small breed for the smaller bites. My vet recommended this brand and my dogs seem to thrive on it and definitely stay healthier.

My elderly rescued dog has thrived on this food
This is a review of the Extra Small Adult 8+ Years kibble. My dog is small (a Maltese) and has no teeth, so these very small kibbles are a good size for her. I soak them in water because it is easier for her to scoop them up that way, but she likes them dry as treats, too. She has been on this food since she came into rescue over a year ago. Her medical issues were addressed, and she looks so much better now that you would hardly recognize her. I plan to keep her on this food until a vet tells me differently. I wish I had known about this food for some other dogs I had in the past.

picky pup
My dog is very picky when it comes to what he will eat. We discovered a while back about this product and now only buy this for him. The important part to me is that the product has the same consistent quality every time we purchase it, we always know if we buy this he will eat it.

Great food, great cost
Recommend it to the fullest! The only reason I switched brands it is because my baby needed the smallest dry kibble possible which I found in a limited ingredient diet. She is a 4 lb chihuahua with 3 teeth that refuses wet food (plus wet doesn't help reduce plaque & tartar!) I also don't have a price limit on her, since the food I found is more expensive this would be an equally good cheaper alternative for some! I love that ALL sizes come in many life stages so you can keep them on the same food for life just adjust to their age or behavior!

Yummy
I have actually changed from using the Royal Canin 8 plus food for my older dog that I have I give her a puppy food now because the veterinarian told me it has a lot more proteins in it that an older dog needs it may be a little bit bigger in the Nuggets but I soak hers in water overnight get it nice and Squishy then she dives into it like it's a sirloin steak
