Original adapter/charger required
I have now had this for about 8 months, and it has worked well. After discharging completely, I thought that there was a problem charging back up, because I had the same "only one bar; never charges" issue that can be seen in some other videos here. However, I discovered that I had accidentally changed to a different charger than what had come with this power station. Even though the front of the device is marked "12-24v" input, it really does require the 19v, 3.42A power adapter to properly charge it. I had no problem contacting the company through the Amazon options, and the company was very responsive and helpful. They offered to replace the unit before I figured out what the problem actually was. So, if you have one of these, always use the original charger.

Great versitility
I bought this because last year during snowmaggedon our power cycled on and off every 15 minutes. This was very problematic when using a cpap machine. While the power didn’t go down during our last multi-day freeze event, I did try this unit with my cpap and it worked perfectly all night. I think I would probably get at least two nights worth of power out of it. The benefit is, you can charge it via a cigarette lighter plug and maybe solar but not 100% on that. There is a super bright LED light on the back that will light up a 20x20 room easily. There are also USB plugs on the unit. The unit isn’t very heavy. I do feel somewhat prepared in the short term if we were to lose power again. We could certainly charge phones, run medical devices and maybe even an air fryer or equivalent small appliance to warm some food.

Good portable power station for portable 12 VDC refrigerator
I bought this power station for when we take our Alpicool C20 portable 12 VDC refrigerator on long driving vacations. I've done some testing of the unit since receiving it and I think it will be very suitable for my purpose. We always take our portable refrigerator with us on our long driving trips. It's infinitely better than an ice-filled cooler for a driving trip that lasts a week or more. The problem with the portable refrigerator is that it starts warming up as soon as it doesn't have power.I wanted a power station that I could plug into the car, and then plug the refrigerator into the power station. So while the car is running the power station is charging and the refrigerator is running off of the car power. But when the car is turned off, the refrigerator would be powered by the power station. This power station operates in a way that allows exactly that operation and it easily supplies the wattage needed by the refrigerator.Estimating how long the power station will power the C20 is not straightforward. You can't just take the max wattage draw of the refrigerator and divide it into the capacity of the power station because the refrigerator doesn't run 100% of the time, and even when it is running it doesn't draw the max wattage the whole time.Wanting to know what to expect when I do take a trip with the unit I settled upon an experiment. I filled the refrigerator with all of the soft drinks it would hold and got the contents down to 35 degrees F. Then I moved the refrigerator to my SUV and attached it to the power station. It was a nice, hot, 90 degree Florida day. Then I let the power station run the refrigerator in the SUV until the power station died. I checked on it periodically to ensure that the refrigerator was still running and still keeping the temperature at 35 degrees F.The power station ran the refrigerator for 5 hours and 40 minutes. That's pretty good on a hot Summer day in Florida. If the temperature were lower then of course the refrigerator would work less and the power station would last longer, and vice versa if the temperature were higher.Anyway, so far this seems like a great unit. I did purchase a longer charging cord for the power station, made of larger diameter wire (to account for the increase in length). I think the cord that came with the unit was a bit short to handle the various configurations I might need to set up.

Replacement delivered
This is what we have wanted for some time and while it is what we want, I was just a bit disappointed when I opened up the box. NOTHING was wrapped in plastic like most things when purchased NEW. There was not one thing - not even the cords - wrapped in plastic. I felt like it was a returned product that someone didn't like. The battery was almost full also.... hmmmmThat aside, it is doing fine. Works well. We get a solar panel soon and will be charging this with that.UPDATE 18Jul22: Replacement arrived today. I was correct abt getting a returned generator because this arrived with everything packed as new, while the one I returned today had HALF the packing, and even the box was torn on the bottom! So far looking great. Am charging via solar on a dark overcast day and STILL getting voltage tho much lower! After our WNY sun disappears, will check out the connections and output. Am very happy to finally get a ORIGINALLY NEW power generator, and very happy with the return process.UPDATE 2 NOV2022: We now have TWO of these solar batteries and use them everyday. One I use exclusively to charge our folding eBikes in the car. The other is in the house and gets used to power/charge everything! Right now I have our two usb-c smartphones charging, our living room LED lights plugged in, plus it's actively being charged by a 220w solar panel, ALL at the same time! I've also powered our 50" Sony wide-screen TV, more household lights, so it's not just a battery to charge small devices. Seems a 40" turbo fan eats the most so far, that in less than 12 hrs in summer, it completely drained all the power of this battery! We have also used it to power a laptop. The old HP laptop consumed more, while my newer 14" DELL laptop consumed less. The best part of this is the outgoing wattage is displayed on-screen of the battery, so you can see the wattage going IN or out. It's good to know how much is being consumed + to just know how much watts household appliances really require! Are very happy with this! Had a few scares yesterday as it would charge correctly, or even charge devices, but today right now it's charging two phones, lights and being charged by an external solar panel! Am VERY happy with this, that's WHY we have two!!
