KOH-I-NOORPolycolor Landscape Artist's Coloured Pencils (Set of 24)

I have a few sets of these pencils. They are one of my favorites and work very well on any paper. They sharpen very well also.

I really enjoy using these pencils, I use them interchangeably with my Caran Dache Pablos, and I can barely tell them apart. I can't imagine how the other reviewer thinks they are smeary, because they certainly do not smear in any way. I am a lover of landscapes, and these well chosen 24 colors are enough to make a beautiful piece by themselves, but they mix well with all of my pencil sets. The accompanying images were done mostly with these pencils though I did have to use a few additional pinks and purples from other sets to add in the flowers. Doesn't blend well and smears, but it has some unique colors.

Absolute favorites to color with! I really like them, because you can use them to color big, open spaces in the artwork. They seem to really work their "magic" overnight, however. The colors appear to "set" into the page overnight and really "pop" off the page. It's like I go to bed expecting a so-so result and WOW! the colors look magnificent. The different shades are fantastic -- wonderful when shading!

I use these pencils a lot and love their texture, color variation and composition. If you sharpen them to a thin point they usually break off making it hard to achieve really thin lines and they do not last very long because of the composition, but that is part of the make up I like. The case however is a different matter - cheaply made, it arrived bent and dented, so hard to keep closed and secure. I have a smaller case of 12 which is fine, this one is 24 and needs a more substantial outer case.

I really like these pencils. I've recently started getting 'arty', first with adult colouring which I took up after no longer being able to do embroidery because of dexterity issues and then, after having got a bit of confidence up, my own drawings mostly taken from photos.I'm no way a proper artist but have been experimenting with different pencil brands and the Polycolor are lovely. Very soft, great colour payoff and blendable.They're in my top two equal with Polychromos. I bought this Landscape pack to top off my Polychromos collection since they're a little weak on blues and greens and liked it so much I want to get more Koh-I-Noor.Quality-wise you get a lot for your money. Recommended.

Je suis ravie de mon achat! C'est la 2ème boîte de polycolor Koh i noor que j'achète et je suis très satisfaite de cette marque. Crayons vendus dans une jolie boîte métal ( voir photos). A priori ( vu la description faite de l'article par Amazon) pas toutes les boîtes seraient identiques. En ce qui me concerne les numéros des crayons presents sont : 1; 2; 6; 15; 16; 18; 19; 22; 25; 26; 27; 29; 31; 33; 42; 52; 54; 57; 59; 62; 64; 66; 139; 351.
