Nippon kodo Morning Star Incense Set of 6 (Lotus, Vanilla, Lavender, Jasmine, Green Tea and Gardenia), 50 Sticks in Each Scent - Traditional Japanese Style

We use these to mask gross smoke fumes from our lovely neighbors. The various long stick incense burn slower, but aren't as delicate and nice smelling as these, and there's a lot in each box. The price for the variety and amount is terrific compared to the Asian stores. They do break easily, so be careful, but still well worth it and will buy again.

I had been searching for a couple years for something similar to this. It was similar to what I had used years ago. Definitely would buy again from this merchant.

These scents are subtle. I've used a lot of incense over the years, for a variety of reasons. Some incense is so strong, it gives me a head ache. Not these. They're perfect. And they don't cover odors. They completely neutralize them. I love them.

Nice incense. The aroma is more subtle, not as strong as you get with other brands, especially those from India. The sticks are small, but I find the burn time is comparable to other, larger sticks. My only complaint is that these sticks are fragile. Be careful when removing from the box or placing in an incense holder. The small, ceramic square Morning Star includes in each box works well. Would probably buy again.

I've been buying this company for over 10 years. I LOVE this incense because it is not super strong or super smoky. Every scent is pleasant, true to its name and well crafted.

It's decent incense overall, but for many of us who are after the Japanese pedigree of the brand - it's made in Vietnam. Nothing wrong with it but I wished they didn't advertise the Japanese-ness of it so much on the product page.The value is somewhat lacking with Shoyeido's actual made-in-Japan products consistently giving you almost twice the volume at a similar price. But it is acceptable for a sampler pack.It Burns for 30 minutes in my case which is nice, and the scent is really good. All 6 flavors are solid, not woody, saucy, nor heavy. I grew up in a Buddhist household and the scent is up there with the pricier ceremonial stuff, definitely classy enough for most occasional uses.I don't know if this is wrapped by Amazon or the vendor, the package is really weak! The package came torn and some boxes were squished. Many of the sticks were broken of course, if you're buying this as a gift beware as well.The celadon holder that comes with each box is a nice gesture to complete the deal, I've seen much more expensive incenses that only come with synthetic holders.I think the product is worthy of 4 stars by itself - but I also thought it was made in-house by Nippon Kodo and would come in a more secure package.

These are exactly what they say they are. If you're familiar with this brand then you'll know they burn for around 25 minutes each. They're small incense sticks but do the job. You might not like all these scents but my partner and I enjoy having a variety so we don't get tired of a particular scent. I prefer the floral scents and my partner loves the vanilla. The green tea is a nice "neutral" scent. Will definitely purchase again. All of these seemed legitimate despite what other reviews have said I saw no issues with my order.

I'm a huge fan of Morning Star incense! The different smells are amazing and don't have that acrid burnt smell either, and even though I like to light incense multiple times per day, one box lasts a long time! Now that I have multiple, I'm set for a long time! I don't have to go out of my way to my local metaphysical shop to buy some more for a while!
