Holy Grail of Face Products
I have sensitive, acne prone skin, that is super reactive to product ingredients with the occasional hormonal breakout around my menstrual cycle. I usually do rigorous patch testing on small sections of my skin before I use a product. I can tell in 3 days if something will work for me or not, because of the subsequent breakouts/rashes that happen almost immediately. So far I have been using this product for 10 days and it is FANTASTIC.This is NOT a toner like North Americans imagine toner to be. It is not astringent-y at all. This is a very thin layer of moisture in your facial routine. Some people complain about the smell, honestly it goes away in two or three seconds. I only catch a wiff of what I imagine a brewery smells like (I've never had Sake so idk what it smells like), and then it is gone. So idk why people complain about the smell because it is literally gone when it touches the air. It's not something you keep smelling through the day at all.You get a HUGE bottle. I've been using it all over my body, (bit paranoid about expiration and such) and it's been better than any other body lotion I've used before.I had a hormonal acne breakout before I started using it, and it usually takes 3 weeks for the cysts go go away and then another 2 or 3 weeks for the hyperpigmentation to fade. I'm on day 10 and currently in the fading stage. My skin is brighter and more translucent than it was before. This stuff plays SOOOOOOO well with makeup. Ever since I started using it, my makeup looks flawless. This is literally my favorite facial product I have ever used in my entire life, and at 31 with sensitive skin, I've used a ton.For people confused about where this goes in a routine here is part of mine for example:-Wash face with cleanser.-Apply Actives (AHA, BHA, Vit Cs)-Kikumasamune Sake Skin Lotion High Moisture-Apply Essence-Apply Cream-Heavier Cream if night time-Sunscreen if morning-Makeup if morning

HOLY GRAIL for Dry&Sensitive Skin
In two weeks of use my skin's condition has improved drastically! I have sensitive dry skin and react to E V E R Y T H I N G but this lotion has done wonders adding moisture and clearing up/brightening my complexion.Use as first step after cleansing or straight out of the shower. It's quite rich but fast absorbing and since the bottle is quite big I'm generous with my use (I even apply it to my body).Smell is a bit odd at first and hints of Sake are quite prominent BUT it fades off in a few seconds after application and I got used to it after the first day.I'm no way near to finishing it but already ordered the second bottle.Must buy!!!Note: I have a small zit not at all caused but reaction, it was caused by chocolate+period.

Good product. Would recommend.
For starters, I have oily/combination skin that is acne-prone. My skin is not particularly sensitive. If you are American, then you may not be expecting this sort of product to be labeled as a toner. It is not meant to 'dry-up' anything on your face, so make sure you understand what it is you are buying here. This product is extremely watery. A little goes a long way, which makes it even crazier that the bottle is GIANT. You get more than your money worth with this one. The sake smell is STRONG, but it will go away within a few minutes if you can power through it. The initial smell is why I docked a star; it's hard for me to consistently use this product knowing it will be briefly unpleasant. Perhaps that's my own problem... either way, the product would be better if the initial smell wasn't as strong.I do not find this product to be noticeably hydrating directly after use. That's not a bad thing - keep in mind, toner is not meant to be a replacement for moisturizer.Toner goes after cleansing in the skincare routine. I know that most helpful review places toner after applying actives, but that's not where it would go if you are following an Asian skincare routine. Toner is more of a product meant to 'balance' skin so that the next products benefits are fully received.

Wow
This stuff is amazing! I have severely dry skin. I drink a lot of water and I pretty much bathe in lotions but no matter what I do I always feel tight, dry, and raw. I've been upgrading my skincare routine when my kids dumped out an entire brand new bottle of hydrating toner which was pretty freaking expensive. I searched hydrating toner on Amazon hoping to temporarily replace my original toner until the end of the week and found this one. First off, holy cow! I didnt realize it was such a huge bottle. It's very hydrating. With three applications I get a slight tacky/sticky feeling which I don't normally get with other hydrating toners. Of course my skin absorbs it and the feeling is gone. My skin is brighter, softer, smooth. No flaking, no cluster dry skin bumps, just beautiful smooth skin. For $15 which is a steal I am ecstatic and will definitely continue to buy.

Impressive ingredients, highly moisturizing and as economical as it gets!
For such a watery liquid, this is incredibly moisturizing! Although it is considered a "lotion" intended to be used as a second step after cleansing, it provides basically all the additional moisture I need. With sake filtrate, 2 types of ceramides, along with arginine, and arbutin, it contains some fairly impressive ingredients, especially at this price! . During the hot, humid summer months in particular, it's all the moisturizer my fairly oily skin can handle.OK, so the design of the pump spray isn't the best and sprays all over, but no big deal. I just decant some into a 2 ounce pop-top bottle, simply and easily resolving this issue. Even more so considering the amount of product you receive for such a low cost -- over 1/2 a quart! Slather it all over every inch of your body every day, and it will still take a year or more to use up.Some reviewers have commented on the "scent" of the sake filtrate, which I feel is fairly faint, and hardly unpleasant. Some have reported "breaking out" from this product, possibly those susceptible to fungal acne, so patch testing first for a few days first might be advisable, but my skin just loves it!
