I purchased this lock to prevent a 4 year old from being able to open an exterior door and wander the neighborhood. It worked perfectly with the lever style knob on my French door. It is very easy to install, and it works great.

I wasn't quite sure how this was going to work, but it actually worked well!! Easy to apply and use!! The only concern is that once the door is locked on the outside, you cannot turn the inside knob either, so just be conscientious of that aspect!!

Product works like it says but for some reason my two year old can get this one open

The lever safety lock works perfectly to prevent the door from opening.And it is too difficult for a toddler to release the safety lock but easy for an adult.
