Was looking for a non-toxic face paint for my kids. This seemed to meet my needs but in practice, it failed miserably.The paints are oil based and allow the skin to breathe, which is awesome, but it means the "creams" are more like lotion when applied. It's hard to get a nice bright color. I'm not sure how the sample product images were created since the yellow has a "shimmer" to it and certainly is nowhere near the bright yellow that they used. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but there is no way the color that came with my set could recreate that sample image...The next thing is the cleanup. Again, remember these are oil based. As such, it's a mess to clean up. Instructions say use soap and water or oil to clean up... Oil? Let's assume for a moment the face cleans up nicely, it's the brushes that could use the help. The brushes I used to apply this paint still show signs. That's after soap and hot water. I haven't tried oil to clean them. If the paint went on bright and vibrant it might be worth trying oil to clean the brushes. At least for me, the paint went on dull and lifeless. I'll keep looking for another non-toxic alternative...

Wow! There's a lot to like about this face paint! Most obviously, the facts that it's organic, non-toxic and safe for all-over painting, including lips and eyes, make it appealing from the get go. But the best thing is how easy it is to apply and how good it looks when it's on. If you've used water-based paints before, this is a whole new ballgame - it glides on super smooth and the colors are deep and vibrant. The five "primary" colors in this set are everything you need to mix just about any color needed, so kids of all ages (yes, ALL ages means us grown-up "kids" too) can use it for anything from general playtime to Halloween to really good-looking cosplay costumes. Oh, and don't worry that the box looks small when it arrives...a little goes a long way! Very happy with this purchase and will be ordering more as gifts for some comic-con friends.

This had mixed reviews from some, but I had no issues. The paint did not bother my skin at all and stayed on all night. It works best if you use the right brushes and if you set it with powder. These photos are from this past halloween and the only paint i used was from this paint kit. I know I'm no artist, but both of these pics were taken well into the night (I live in Hawaii so it was hot and I was sweating, but the make up stayed on). It is a creamy paint, but mixes well. Well worth the price.

This is awful. I purchased since I wanted something eco-friendly but this is unusable. It is a thick material and does not spread- looks not so nice.The worst part is that it does not wash off. I had to use 3 soaps and it finally came off my daughter's face. However it smudged on the furniture too and that hasn't come off.Amazon also no help offering no refunds... so Avoid at all costs!

I like that this is non toxic and won't irritate my kids faces. With that said, even with cornstarch, this face paint rubs off easily. That would be fine, but for a sugar skull with an itchy nose, it was not. But, there is a lot in the pots, and I think it's a great deal for the money. If you don't need to paint your whole face, or if you're not painting kids who can't stop rubbing their faces, I would recommend this.

This worked great for my daughter. Didn't smudge. Came off easily with cleanser. Looked wonderful. I used the white and black to give her a 'dead' appearance for her Halloween costume. We added a bit of red dripping from her mouth and it was a little on the brown side so it looked kind of like dried blood. It worked fantastically.

Good product, my wife used it for my two Daughters, my only concern is that my little one got a rash around her eye, not sure if the product caused it. My other Daughter was fine with the paint.

I got these for my 14 year old daughters full-face raccoon costume. She has reacted badly to any other face paint, but this looked good and gave her no reaction at all. It stays moist on the face so I think for younger children you would have to be careful or they would just smudge it.
