This product is a great combination of doing the job it is supposed to do AND helping the customer to feel good about doing the right thing. When I purchase items that are cruelty-free (or vegan, or natural...) I always wonder (and almost expect) whether the product can do an adequate job. But in this case a cruelty-free product removes my eye makeup well and gets my face ready for the good soap washing that follows. It doesn't magically get all the eye makeup off with one light swipe, but it does get the majority off without rubbing my skin raw (like some other vegan products). I also have very sensitive eyes and I have had no problem or allergic reactions to it. I am pleased and will purchase again.

I want to like this stuff. I have been looking for a nice vegan/no cruelty company making an effective novellas water. Took me forever to figure out what was stinging me. I am a wash and go kind of person and wanted this for eye and lip makeup. I literally use oil to moisturize and all of the sudden my face was on fire. I am not even sensitive to stuff. I rarely react enough to notice. Nothing in it is weird. Citric acid does irritate me, I use it to clean and I think this just has too much for me or I am oversensitized to it. It would be such a minuscule amount to be included, I mean, it is an edible acid in teeny doses. Anyway, that is the only thing I can think of. I don’t even get red, my skin just feels very raw. And I am someone who likes a good skin peel, so you’d think I’d be used to it. I will keep looking for magic water or give in and make a diy version.

I ordered the eye remover because it said “lotion” and what I got was water in a bottle. It did not take my eye makeup off but just smudge it every where. Very disappointed ☹️

Having tried so many different types of eye makeup remover, this one stood out and I've been now using it for several years. I love that it's oil-free, gentle, and refreshing. It rarely burns or stings, and I noticed that usually happens when I apply too much of it. Not very effective on waterproof mascara, but I expected that from a natural product, and I'm totally ok with it. I hardly use waterproof makeup, and when I do, I just use this remover to take off whatever mascara it can, then take off the rest in the shower with the Pacifica Quinoa Sensitive Face Wash. Works great and hardly any residue left!

What more could one ask?

The options for cruelty free make up products are growing and I'm finding more and more wonderful products, that I don't have guilt using. Take my word for it that you don't want to use products that test on animals, I've done the research and I can never "unsee" or forget what that really means. I've used Beauty Without Cruelty for over a year and I love it. It's very gentle on my eyes and skin, and works wonderfully removing every bit of makeup - I use cotton balls or rounds. BWC: Knowing the easier and cheaper options, I appreciate you have taken the time to make a superior product without having to harm animals in your development and testing.

This is a great makeup remover that gets the job done and doesn't sting my eyes. It easily removes all of my makeup and is easy to apply to a cotton square or q-tip to get around my eyes. I've always had good success with Beauty Without Cruelty products and love that it is cruelty free.
