Thin, synthetic material (like fitness, "dri-fit" shirts) with a good amount of stretch. The padding is decent for occasional, light impact I got these for when I work on my cars in my driveway (weekend warrior). Works well when I have to get down on my knees to align jack stands, working in the wheel well, remove/mount wheels, etc. These sleeves are light and breathable. However, these knee sleeves are very light duty. Designed for sports with occasion knee impact. They're probably not going to hold up too much longer for what I use them for. Also, these knee pads are for impact protection only. I don't think it will provide any support like knee "braces."

Been tearing my knees up working the sheet winches on my sailboat, so bought a pair. WOW. They are not restrictive at all, don't cause my legs/knees to sweat even when it's hot, and they've saved my knee caps. Love them.

These are very comfortable and perform well for infrequent impacts. They do not hold up with constant pressure. After only about 4-6 dance sessions of 2 hours each, the padding was completely squished flat and provided very little protection while on my knees. During dance I often spin and slide on my knees. These pads do not hold up. They are not durable. I do not recommend them for dance and will not purchase them again.

I have trouble kneeling and thought to try knee pads for the extra cushion. These knee pads are light, comfortable and easy to slip on and off, plus they work great! Just what I needed.

With the right size, it is comfortable and does not restrict much motion at all. The grips on the top and bottom of the knee pads are very effective in keeping the knee pad in place while in motion. Good material to prevent it from ripping when it takes a fall

Many of the middle school boys on my son's basketball team this year began wearing knee pads or leggings with knee pads in them. We noticed these kids looked a lot more confident being aggressive and going after the ball b/c they didn't seem afraid to fall. Landing on their knees was not going to hurt. So we got some for my son, who is already aggressive but risking his knees a lot, and he's been wearing them and loves them. He hasn't complained about them making it hard to run or that they, in any way, are bothering him. He has fallen a few times (this age really can play rough in a highly competitive game) and I have breathed a sigh of relief when I've seen how he gets up completely unhurt after landing square on his knees. I would highly recommend this product for any sport like this such as volleyball, basketball and other court sports for kids or adults. They are as lightweight as they say they are and provide just enough comfort to save a person from the average bruises acquired during play.

The first couple times I wore them they were uncomfortable, but after breaking them in I didn't notice I was wearing them anymore. They're nice and slim while still providing plenty of comfort. The elastic bands get a little painful with hairy legs, but aside from that they're great.NOTE: Don't hand wash them in hot water! They survived two cycles in the washer, but when I hand washed them in the sink, the foam fell apart inside and now they're useless. Didn't think I was rough with them. Ordering a new pair since they were great otherwise.

Very good pad!My husband often drives out of state for his job and it protects his knees from the cold! Very Good!
