Was looking for a modern motion sensor porch light which is soooo hard to find in silver/grey ... Found this one and I like it. It's smaller than I expected but does exactly what I need it to do. Will be purchasing another one for my deck. My hubby said it was easy to install too. My last motion sensor light from this brand lasted for 15 years(although the color faded) so I hopefully this one will last too. It's hard finding good brands that now days.

I purchased this light on March 2, 2011 and installed it within a week. There are some pros and cons with this light.ProsThe dusk to dawn feature works perfectlyThe motion detector works well and is sensitive enough to pick up a cat walking through my patio.The motion detector has a 150 radius. This is both a pro and a con depending on the situation. For me it is a plus. Others might need a broader detection range.The light has worked with every type of bulb I have tried.Some LEDs and compact fluorescent bulbs work fine.ConsThe color is black. I ordered oil rubbed bronze and it said it was that color, but really the color is black.Because the bulb turns on and off multiple times through the night, it seems to consume bulbs. I have gone through 3 light bulbs with this unit and am working on bulb 4. Compact fluorescent bulbs don't seem to last any longer than incandescent bulbs.The paint does not last and is quickly lost.I live in a very sun intense area with very little rain and no snow. The paint on this fixture lasted about 2 and a half years. I am now replacing the fixture because the paint is long gone and the fixture is heavily rusted. There is not a single millimeter of the fixture that is not covered with a heavy layer of rust. The fixture continues to work well, it is just rusted out.I have included a photo of the fixture as it is in 12/2015. The light brown color is a heavy layer of oxidation and rust. The rust can come off, but the metal is degrading underneath. There is not enough metal left on the light to refinish the light at this point.

These motion lights look great. They look better than my old decorative lights that cost 3x as much. The bubbles in the glass look nice and disperse light.I would have given these lights 5 stars however one of the three lights I bought has the bulb mount off center. You can see this in my picture of the one mounted to the vinyl siding. The other two were perfect. Also, these have a nice finish but do not feel as heavy duty as the more expensive lights. I don't expect the finish to last more than 5 years.The settings are adjustable for 1, 5, 10, or 15 mins. It looked like just 15 or 10 min increments underneath until I re read the instructions. Other reviewers posted about buying dimable bulbs with these fixtures. That is a waste of money as there is no dual-bright option. I wish there was a switch for constant on instead of only motion triggered. You can double flip the switch to change the mode, but it resets after daytime.As a bonus the motion sensor has additional wiring where you can control up to 450 watts of lights from the motion controller on this light. I was very impressed and like the idea of being able to add other lights in the future where they will all turn on based of the sensor of the one motion light.I used outdoor 60 watt led bulbs as they are much brighter, save a lot on energy costs, and are brighter. I went with a 780 lumen bulb and it's brighter than my neighbors motion light that has dual spotlights. However this motion light spreads light more evenly also, and look much nicer on the house while doing so.I highly recommend these lights and would buy them any time for the price! Also get led outdoor bulbs and it will be very bright.

I received my light today, sooner than expected. It’s exactly as I expected. For $42.00, it’s a bargain. I’ve paid more, and got much less that’s for certain.It was packaged nicely, and pretty much flawless, (no obvious defects.). I have to mention though, that you should check the decorative round knobs on the bottom four corners. I didn’t notice that mine were, and one fell off during insulation. 🤦🏼‍♂️ Fortunately, I was able to find it and it easily screwed back on. * That’s when I noticed that two of the others were also bit loose. No big deal, but if you don’t want to lose one, be sure to check them.It was simple to install, just like any small outside light fixture, and I was very impressed by it’s motion detection range. It’s replacing a fixture with similar features, (that I paid TWICE as much for I might add), that didn’t have nearly the same motion range.Of course it’s too soon to tell how durable it will be, but for this price, I’d be thrilled if it lasted 4-5 years. I’m very happy with my purchase land I think you’ll be too.

I have 6 of these installed around my house (front, back and side yards). They work very well at detecting motion. They definitely pick up people walking by, and even cats at night. You can adjust where the motion detection aims, and even the sensitivity and how long the light stays on once activated. They look great too!Very happy with these lights.
