Best budget watch ever.
The media could not be loaded. Likes:Accuracy (owned for a fortnight now and has neither gained nor lost even the tiniest fraction of a second...Build quality is superb. Being a quartz piece rather than a mechanical one, the Duro is light, a mere 92 grams on its resin strap and still only 140 grams on its "beads of rice" solid link steel bracelet as seen in the attached images and video clip. That blue face, wow! The light play on there is fabulous and matched only by a couple of much more costly watches from my collection, funnily enough both Asian rather than Swiss. The bezel action is excellent, very "fidgetable" as one well known watch reviewer says when encountering a positive, neither too loose nor too tight bezel on a review subject. There is the very slightest of free play around the check spring but this is a very good bezel action, exceptional among most sub-£300 pieces. Consider that this MDV106 was purchased from a USA based Casio specialist on Amazon for a highly acceptable sub-$65 cost and remember that many outlets across in that US of A occasionally sell these for even fewer dollars.Comfort on wrist. On the bracelet seen in the images, the female end links mean that this large watch fits perfectly on my 5¾ inch wrist. Some reviewers find the watch to be too large, but let's not forget that the shape, as well as the circumference of the wrist can be a major factor in how comfortably a watch fits.Mine was OK on the resin strap too, but the bracelet (from a well known watch industry professional whose business is based in the New York area (USA, not the place of that name between Shiremoor and North Shields😉)Dislikes:Hmm..Nah, sorry, but at this price it has proved impossible for me to identify anything about the MDV106 that fails to satisfy in terms of form or function. It is beautiful, especially - for my taste - in the blue face + blue bezel version.OK, so the lume could be better, but I had already learnt of this from many - but not all - of the online reviews I've seen and in fact, it's not too bad, just don't expect the 106's markers and hands to last like BGW9 (a lume formulation found in many, much more costly watches), comparing with such a watch from my own collection I'm not disappointed and the 106's lume is fine at the price and better than that seen on some £500 plus watches that aren't going to be named here, but still sell well and are generally liked.Whether you're one of the Casio aficionados who still hasn't bought an MDV106, or someone who simply wants a solid, reliable watch that can work as well in daily use as it can up to 200 metres below the sea, this watch is well worth considering. Actually, just buy one, these aren't going to be available for too much longer and is likely to hold its value, not that I'm suggesting that anyone should hoard watches speculatively and if anyone asks, my 30+ Casios all see some use but this is my best yet, in spite of (because of?) it's total absence of functionality beyond telling the time accurately, looking pretty and fitting well.Highly recommended, highly likely to satisfy.Buy one while they're still available new, go on, you know you want to.......⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lovely looking timepiece at a great price.
Arrived quickly in under a week all the way from the USA to my place in Southern England, UK. Great on-line tracking throughout and no damage at all when it arrived. This watch (mine is blue) looks even better in person and I have been wearing it daily. Lovely looking watch and I have had, all positive, unsolicited comments from several people on how good it looks and asking where I got it from. For a daily 'beater' watch you cannot go wrong with one of these!

Love the looks!!!
Likes:Amazing (watch) build quality & excellent value for the money - under £60 at time of purchase: late Oct' to Early Nov' 2023 - if it holds up to MY use over the lifetime of the battery AT LEAST TWO YEARS I hope.LOVE the Shiny Blue Dial, & style of the ploshed lumed hands. The Seconds hand DOES line up properly as far as I can see on ALL of the sec/min markers - except for 1 or 2 between 7pm & 10pm.Light weight - you barely know it is there (that is good for some, but maybe not others), which I LIKE in the case of THIS watch because I will NOT be using as a 'Dive' watch. It looks 'too nice' to ruin it doing that.DISLIKES:The BLACK rubber/plastic strap that it comes with - removed with minutes of trying on, even though it felt 'sort of ok', but no thanks. My comment HERE is about the look & fit of the original strap, not the 'quality' of its material.I will be keeping the original - just in case, like with ALL my 'originals'. ONLY 5 of my watch collection still wear the 'originals' (including a titanuim bracelet on one watch), since there are currently no good or better alternatives available. 16 watches have BETTER fitting for ME (& I hope long lasting) & certainly more comfortable alternatives fitted, including on THIS watch. While the seconds hand is quite nice as it is - a large arrow - it would be nice/better to have a RED version of it as that would stand out well or better against the dark shiny blue dial. For a 'dive' watch the lume is utter rubbish, si don't beice anyone who says it is ok for 'swimming'. It is so dim you would need 'Eagle Eyes' with UV Night Vidion & Infra Red to use it successfully diving. But it is less than £60, so........whatever.Would be so much better with SAPPHIRE Glass instead of cheap mineral glass. To Casio I would say (they would not care though probably):Include Sapphire Glass & Lume that actually works.Do NOTHING else to the watch (return the Marlin Logo on CURRENT models that do NOT have it), except MAYBE inprove the stiffness of the bezel clicks - make it STIFFER so as not to move in use.KEEP the '200m' WRDouble the price (to about £120) & it would still be good value. Also include a steel bracelet option - with a divers extension & more than three adjustment holes on a MILLED CLASP, plus four or five removable links at each side of the clasp - & do NOT use 'folded' links - for about £40- £50 MAX extra, when buying the watch NEW.DUMP the '50m WR' model, not worth bothering with - a 'divers' watch needs a BIG dial, with readable lume, & a good WR level. That model has NONE of it.

A true modern classic. A beater watch that isn't.
I was in the market for just one more watch and this true modern classic came up on sale in the less common blue face variant.Everyone who is into watches spends far too long watching review videos and pondering every tiny option and lets face they often arrive not quite what you wanted or expected. This was the rarer case where it exceeded my every expectation. The blue face is especially nice. The lume is bright and easily readable, it is on the larger side but fine for my wrist. The strap has oval holes and the stronger material means there are more of them giving finer sizing choices. It is truly waterproof with the screw down crown meaning you can actually swim with it (what I think should be the minimum spec worthy of any kind of waterproofing rating).Being quartz It keeps essentially perfect time with so little drift you really wont care. This is a cheap watch that will get compliments all the time. People who are not into watches will like the way it looks and assume it is far more expensive than it is and those that know watches will appreciate the heritage, the features and the overall value.Absolutely recommended. I will be buying other variants when they are on sale.
