Klutz Kids Magical Baking Activity Kit Medium

I gifted this to my niece for Christmas. She's seven and so far has cranked out at least half of these recipes. She loves the book and the easy to follow instructions. She even had a friend cook with her during a sleepover. Big hit!

Love it!! Such cute and fun treat ideas, packaged well and great as a gift. My 4 year old can’t stop staring at the book and asks to make something from it all the time.

Not the best value for what I paid for it but my niece likes it. She's getting into cooking and I wanted her to have some pretty things to bake with. The included recipe book has some really yummy looking recipes much better then I was expecting.

Daughter loves it, have yet to try it. The kit doesnt include much, but the ideas inside are cute.

KIDS MAGICAL BAKING is a fun activity kit for the budding baker. The set comes with baking utensils, such as measuring spoons, frosting tips and bags, baker's twine, straws, spatula, and toothpicks as well as stickers and punchouts for decorations. The accompanying recipe booklet teaches children how to make all sorts of sweets and goodies, including mug cakes, full cakes, cupcakes, and breads (including pizza). The start of the book includes some basic information about measuring and kitchen rules.What I loved: This is an adorable set that will work well for older elementary school aged children who are getting into baking. While the set does not come with ingredients, each recipe does list them so you can pick a few to get started with and make sure to have the them on hand. While not all starting bakers will be able to create the cool and fancily decorated goods within, there are definitely some that are easier to recreate, and the difficulty level varies, so there are some for earlier learning and others with more complexity. The illustrations on each page are great to help with following the recipe steps along the way, and the recipes include prep and bake time information.What left me wanting more: There will definitely be an element of practice with these and a lot of additional ingredients and materials (including pans that you may not have, such as donut pans) would be required to keep the fun going. I do wish on same recipes that they gave a bit more information in terms of time/how you know it's ready for parents who have not made these things before (for instance, the buttercream does not tell you when to stop whipping).Final verdict: A cute baking starter kit, KIDS MAGICAL BAKING is sure to inspire young bakers to create new and delicious items.Please note that I received a review copy. Some of the recipes, like chocolate chips don’t turn out well with the measurements. They definitely need adjusting
