This is a perfect bible for anyone who loves the word of God. I brought this bible because my large print bible was too heavy to carry back and forth to church. This paperback is perfect. I just placed it in a bible book cover. I use it every day for bible study with my husband. He also has one in leather. I purchased it from Amazon used. Amazon is a great site to find used books. I have bought at least 4 of the Thompson Chain bibles for other people through Amazon and they were all in perfect condition and reasonably priced. They are still using them today.

The writers editors who ever had input in this study bible did their homework. Man they have a break down of every book in the bible. Maps, words of Christ in red, interesting topics for verses i.e Isa 44:6 talks about the Lord being King...it will name a topic they have in the back of the book under a number like God King 3465 and you find it and it gives you scripture, it's too much to type JUST GET THIS BIBLE. Of course the reference scriptures. They even break down different translations of bibles i.e kjv esv niv, and tell you a little bit about why the translation came about and why. Its awesome and so simple.

This is my second Thompson Chain Bible as the first I gave to my son, who loves it. I love this Bible with all it's referencing, concordance, maps, everything. I bought this one in blue leather with silver metallic edges and it's just beautiful. I'm still breaking it in and that will take a long time as these Bibles are very well made. If you're looking for a Bible, this is it. You will have it a lifetime and the Thompson Chain makes studies a breeze and fun!

Thompson Chain Reference Bible is a great tool for studying the bible. I prefer to study my bible at home and not on the road, so I think the paperback will last long enough. But the next Thompson Chain Reference Bible is definitely going to be a leather bound copy.

This is an excellent study Bible for those wanting to know more information about different topics in the Bible. The reference Bible give a good explanation of the book in the beginning and then gives great detail through the book you are reading. I am studying Daniel at the moment. Even though I have read the book before I have learned a lot of additional informtion I did not know before.

I occasionally order these Thompson Chain Reference for my bible students and friends as gifts, because they are the very best Non denominational study bible out there. And Amazon is the very best with decent prices and quick service.

I have many Bibles, many different versions, many different study Bibles, but this one has been my favorite. I go by the King James Version personally and I find that I agree with a lot of the study notes. I use this Bible as my main go to, but I go back and forth when studying because I love to compare things.
