Looks and feels really sturdy and for the price I think its a steal. There are numerous lookalikes at a higher price and the main difference is the tension on this model can be adjusted with a hex key but on the more expensive ones seems to have a knurled nut - there are pros & cons with either system, won't go into them here, just to reiterate I am more than pleased. Neewer products generally seem to be on the better side as I have purchased a few from Amazon.

Firstly, the head feels solid and durable. My issue is with the need of a hex key to operate it!Once it's tightened and you have your camera in place it's not exactly practical to start moving it about using a hex key, especially if you're out and about.The idea is excellent, that's reason I bought it. I've never had any issues with Neewer products but I'm not really a fan of this piece of kit. Impractical. The tightening screws need to be wing nuts or the like to ensure ease of use. Not safe when using a full frame camera.

Bought this so I could mount my camera sideways for some macro shooting.Did the job and seems well nade, but loses a star because bizarrely the supplied Allen key tightens the joints but doesn't fit the screw that threads into the camera body!A clip or hole to store the Allen key would have been nice too, since the odds of the two bits staying together in my camera bag are basically zero!

This is a solid Z fold head which handles all my cameras and feels rock solid. I must admit I have used this more than I expected I would. the locking mechanism can be adjusted and tightened to hold heavier cameras but I have it set just right for all except my 5DIV and to hold that it just needs tightening a little more. In conclusion a well made piece of equipment that you will find yourself using more and more.

I purchased this as a stand for my Zoom F4 professional audio recorder and its is perfect for this application. Very well made, easy to set up and the built in spirit level is very useful.
