... these for about six months now and use them pretty heavily as a college student and they're absolutely amazing
(Writing as the user's daughter)I've had a pair of these for about six months now and use them pretty heavily as a college student and they're absolutely amazing. I almost prefer them over my over-ear headphones. The clarity is unreal, with just the right amount of bass, the noise cancelling feature is super impressive for an in-ear speaker, and they're surprisingly tough. You've got to remember to keep the earbud covers they give you, because they'll wear out faster than the buds themselves. The design is really nice and doesn't wear too much, although (obviously) the chord begins to break once you've had them for a long time. I ended up witching from Urbanears headphones and earphones to these and I just ordered a second pair to replace the first, because they're the best earphones I've ever had.One thing you should know about the "light brown" color (although I thought it looked gray in the picture) is that in person, it's almost black. The wood grain realy isn't visible. The brown color looks almost exactly as advertised, maybe a little darker and redder.

Loved them until...
I loved these earbuds and have used them often. I also use a blue tooth to keep the wear and tear down when I use wired headphones.Everyone would compliment me on the style and color of the buds. This product worked perfectly well until July 16th, 2018. I am unsure why the right ear bud with the mic stopped working. They have never been in water or been pulled where you can snap the wire inside. It just stopped working one day while I was listening to talk radio at work and because I only use 1 ear bud I thought the phone had died. When I put the other ear bud in my ear it was working just fine. Will probably order another pair. Loved them so much. The clarity of your calls and music is amazing.

Will The APIE Make You Happy??
These earbuds are awesome. They look the part and more importantly they sound the part. Now something that's this discounted (right now they're sitting around a $10-$15 price range), I expected something mediocre and was pleasantly surprised at the results. The clarity is great and the bass on these was way better than I expected. The earbuds also comes with a carrying case for easy storage and plenty of ear molds to adjust to any ear shape which I appreciated. It's never fun getting a pair of earbuds that just slides right out of your ears every 30 seconds. There are down sides to these earbuds. For one, I would say my daily use of these were pretty average and now over six months later they're slowly starting to die out on me whereas other earbuds around the original retail price range of these that I've tested out have lasted much longer. If these earbuds weren't as discounted as they are I definitely wouldn't pick them up again because of that. The earbuds do come with a microphone but it's pretty weak and I've had people tell me that my voice sounded pretty muffled when using it. Another thing is that it doesn't come with a volume adjuster, it just has a pause button. I would gladly trade off the microphone and have gone with a simple volume control rather than having to pull my device out to readjust my volume. All around, at the price point these earbuds are currently at, these are a great bargain. Where they lack in a long term lifespan, microphone and volume adjuster, they make up in great sound quality for when you're on the go or just at home relaxing. I would definitely pick them up and test them out. If it goes anywhere near it's retail price though, I would steer clear and possibly look elsewhere.

Great looking and good sounding headphones, still not appropriate for running
UPDATE:The manufacturer contacted me to send a replacement. The replacement is much the same, but I'm impressed with the customer support, and they really are nice headphones. They sound good, they look amazing, and they are packaged very nice. Included in the package are a wide variety of sizes of earbuds and also one pair of memory foam earbuds, both a hard(ish) case, and a velvet bag to sore them in. However, the cord material still is prone to tangling. I have not had a chance to try to run with them again so i don't know they would still generate static electricity, but I wouldn't be surprised. As long as you don't plan to run with them, (and to be fair they are not advertised as sport headphones that are sweat proof anyway) I think they are excellent headphones.Original Review:I'll be returning these. I don't like the material the cord is made of, it tangles very easily. Also strangely if I run with them my ears are constantly shocked. I think static electricity builds up as the wire moves and it travels up to the metal close to your ear.

Despite misleading "Noise-Cancelling" claim, these are a good value for the money
For the price, these are impressive with stellar performance, particularly on the low end of the audio spectrum. In my opinion, they may even be a bit too heavy on the low end of the spectrum, making them sound muddy at times. But most playback devices and software have digital band equalizers or at least a way to tame the low end frequencies a tad. Regarding "noise-cancelling", these definitely are NOT. I have Bose QuietComfort noise-cancelling headphones. Do not even try to compare the two. Noise cancelling requires active (powered) monitoring of outside noise and circuitry to counter-balance the outside noise. The APIEs do not have this. They are at best "noise-blocking" with a very comfortable fitting soft earbud. The kit comes with a hardshell zip case, a soft drawstring case and several sizes of earbud pads. Aside from the misleading "noise-cancelling" claim, these are a good value for the money and a step up or two from typical in-line mic headsets that come with smartphones.

Very fun, punch above their weight!
this is an edit to my previous review which tbh was a little premature, it's either that or these have burned in a bit? I have over 50 sets of earphones/headphones from £10-250. these littel things really punch above their weight, def an above average sound at the budget level. These challenge sets £30-50.Bass - Nice and deep, decent resolution too. Doesn't doinate buy gives a nice fun factor.Mids - Decent detail, perhaps a tiny bit recessed with certain songs, vocals are slightly forward and sound good. Again though they have good clarity.highs - Most budget sets can never gets treble right in my experience, but these have nice detail up top and decent clarity and sparkle.Soundstage - Above average, big sound to them. These are def V shaped... so bass and treble get a little more emphasis than mids. But not a bad thing, it's a fun sound. At this price point these are one of the best value budget sets you'll get. They also look nice and are pretty small. i like the fact they have a big L and R on the back of the housing. Getting the right tip was a challenge, i ended up with a small/medium rubbery tip from another set of mine. I was having a bit of difficulty finding a silicon that stayed in. Foam tips worked well too without changing the sound too much.I was going to give them 4 stars, but then i need to remember they need to be judged against other budget sets and for that reason they are worthy of 5

Initially for the first month these earphones are great! Lightweight
Initially for the first month these earphones are great! Lightweight, good quality music for the price and loads of earplugs to fit your ear/replace if you've lost any. However, I've now purchased two of these and both have had the same problem. The right earphone just stops working. This second pair lasted nearly two months, and I do use my earphones every day - but I've had cr*ppy £10 earphones that have lasted a lot longer... such a shame.

Good noise but poor build
The headphones are great and do what they say, however after using them for a week this happened (see attached picture). I bought these as a backup for using in the gym and now I can't return them as its out of the return time hence the poor review.

Looks good sound bad
Look great but for me sound awful - could not get the write fit and found the wire far too stiff which resulted in the head phones being pushed out everything I moved.

Very disappointed!
Pity I couldn't give a minus-star review!!! Package arrived..opened it up..and the little black box that holds the earphones was EMPTY!!! So cross.
