I bought this product because I was looking for an effective exfoliant made from natural substances. It definitely met my latter criterion, but not my former. My two main gripes are that the "bits" in the exfoliant aren't abrasive enough to make me feel like I am getting enough exfoliation when I use it, and also that it's very oily. The label says it can be used as a mask, wherein you put a whole lot of it on your face and then sit there with it on for 10 minutes. I've done this and it's very nice. Gives a kind of tingly feeling. However, if I wanted a mask I would have bought one. I also don't really like the smell very much. I am not one for strong unnatural fragrances, but this is a bit too earthy even for my taste.
