Works fine on the G30, but one caution...
I've gone through two charge cycles now with this battery, and as others have said it seems to work fine on the G30. The reason for 4 stars is that I'm using the Canon CG-800 wall charger. Both times I've charged the Kapaxen battery, the charger shut off once. On the first occasion the charger got very hot. On both occasions, I unplugged the charger and battery, started over, and it finished charging without further problem. For the cost, it's an outstanding value. But keep an eye on it during charging, something may be a little wonky there. Also, it doesn't include the little terminal cover, like you get with a genuine Canon battery. I miss that, since it protects the terminals from shorting or damage.

Long Lasting Battery
I am sure that like so many others, I was hesitant about buying an after market battery for a $1300+ video camera. There are several issues to be concerned with such as the biggies, will it work right, or at all? Then you wonder how well it is made, etc...I can say that this battery works like a charm. I also have a Canon HF S10 which is an awesome video camera. It still looks and works like new and with the firmware upgrade to read class 10 cards, I was hesitant to purchase the Canon HF G30 but decided to. I love this camera too and the battery that comes with it, works well but as it normally is, the Canon batteries are spendy. I got a great deal on my second larger Canon battery for my HF S10 but not so with my HF G30. Like some people, I had to see if my HF S10 batteries would work with the HF G30 and when they fit, it was like, Oh Yea! But that ended when the camera turned on and a message appeared, "Not Compatible". The battery will fit, turn on the camera only to display the message, Wow, bummer.I then searched for a good second battery and there were several to choose and after reading all the reviews on the different brands, I decided to try Kapaxen. I never heard of the brand, so it was a risk and I relied on other reviewers honesty. I am not disappointed. The HF G30 video camera reads the battery with no problem, meaning it shows in the camera's display the amount of time left for battery life and the camera works flawlessly with the battery. The Kapaxen brand battery also seems to be made well and drains as one would expect when using the camera in a normal fashion.OK, here's the bad news if you want to look at that way. It sticks out from the camera battery. I mean, it really sticks out compared to the original battery. This does not bother me any but it is noticeable and you do have to work around it a little, but not a real big deal and it is not Kapaxen's fault. The battery is a larger capacity battery, which means longer life and also means bigger battery for this longer life. My extra HF S10 Canon battery is also larger and have the same issue. I just wanted to mention this so if you do read this posting and decide to purchase this battery, you will not be shocked. To me, it is worth the extra capacity and it really does not hamper the use of the camera, but you do know it is there. LOL.In recap, yes this is a great battery, larger capacity means a bit larger size but it seems quality built, the camera recognizes and plays well with this battery and I would recommend it. I also purchased the charger on Amazon for this battery and it too, works well. It seems cheaper in quality but as long as it works and lasts because Canon does not provide a charger and makes you either buy one or charge through the camera....http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F23HCVU/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_0

Looks like a winner!
I had just purchased a Canon Vixia HF G30 camcorder (it's phenomenal :-) and needed a couple of spare batteries. I had a really good experience with Wasabi's BP-827 compatible battery for my Vixia HF S200 (amazon B0049VMMZ2), but sadly those batteries aren't internally compatible with the G30 which takes a standard BP-820 (1700mA) or larger BP-828 (2670mA) battery. I tried the 827 - which is the exact shape and size as the 828, but the screen showed "Battery pack is not compatible. Turning off camcorder."The other problem was that Amazon was out of stock on the Canon BP-828, and there were no compatible batteries available last month. That changed with the Kapaxen BP-828 (2900mA), and I bought two as soon as I saw them.Straight out of the box, the G30 powered up and didn't complain when each battery was installed. What a relief! The first battery showed 208 minutes of recording time and the other showed 216 minutes. I then charged one in the G30 using the Canon CA-570 charger/adapter that came with the camcorder, and I charged the other with a Canon stand-alone CG-800 charger. I had to restart the charger once when the charge light went out after about 10 minutes, but when it was plugged in again it charged for about an hour and the green FULL light came on. Another relief that the batteries can be successfully charged with Canon equipment :-)With each battery fully charged, the G30 showed 236 minutes of recording time with each one. That's an hour and a half longer than the stock BP-820 battery (236min vs. 147min, or 2hr 27 min vs. 3hr 56 min).Even better is the cost. A single Canon BP-828 is $149.95 while the BP-820 is $109.95. At $39.95, the Kapaxen BP-828 is barely 25% the cost and seems to be 100% compatible. It even has about 7% more capacity, so all things considered these are home runs!I haven't yet had a chance to test the battery life in the real world, but I'll update my review as soon as I've used up most of the charge.

More barrty life, but sticks out further on Vixia HF G 30
Works well with my Vixia HF G30. This battery lasts longer than the one that comes with the Vixia, but it is also much larger. It sticks out from the back of the camera further than the stock battery. I guess that is to be expected because it's a higher capacity. The large battery almost gets in the way of the viewfinder, but not enough to prevent me from using the camera as I would normally. Just a minor superficial complaint, but otherwise this battery works great. It reads as a legit battery in the Vixia and charges in-camera. I haven't tried it with an external charger, but I might get one to make it easier to charge both batteries simultaneously.

Can recommend it for use
I bought this battery pack as an after-market substitute for the original. It was ready to go out of the box. Was instantly put to use and found reliable, with all functionality available on the Camera; including Battery info. After being discharged, it was re-charged with a Kapaxen Battery Charger (which was bought separately). It charged fully and was again put to use. Battery availability on my Camera indicates 207/ 211 minutes in my experience. It has undergone at least 4 discharge/charge cycles in use. Can recommend it for use.
