Carol's Daughter Goddess Strength Ultra Shield Pre Poo Hair Treatment for Waves, Coils and Curls, Protective Hair Detangler with Castor Oil, 10.2 Fl Oz

I'll start by saying I have very fine slightly wavy hair that's damaged though I do not treat it (chemically or with heat, I just haven't taken care of it over the years and never got haircuts.) Anyway I've had this long a** hair past my big booty and I was starting to look like a witch or something. I trimmed a few inches, that helped, but I still needed more help so I did some Googling and Amazoning and decided on Prepooing with this stuff. I've used it 3 times now, I only shampoo every 3-4 days and will massage a generous amount to every last bit of hair and extra on the ends. Not sure if that's really how it's supposed to go down, but, it felt right and the bottle is huge. After slathering it up on my dry hair I go chill somewhere for 10min and then go on with my shower routine. Anyway, end result? My hair is way shinier, smoother, easier to manage, it honestly looks like I styled it lightly with heat maybe a blowout when I just let it air dry. Literally no frizz. My ONLY complaint is that I'm not a fan of the smell. It overpowers my shampoo/conditioner and hair serum. It smells...I can't put my finger on it...maybe like a musky amber vanilla type thing, very heady, I'm a light citrus fruity floral person, so this is my exact opposite, and then there's also a hint of like a waxy odor. I'm not positive if I'll keep up with this product because I am sensitive about smells, but believe it or not, I recommend trying it because everyone is different and I bet loads of people would love this scent and it's worth it to see if it helps your hair issues.

My daughter has thick and curly hair. It tend to dry easily. This really helps to moisturize it. It does have a scent but it is tolerable.

I love this product! I’ve already used a little over half a bottle. I purchased the entire line based on my experience with other Carol’s Daughter products. The Goddess Strength Ultra Shield Pre-Poo feels great and allows me to stretch and detangle before washing. I wear my hair in its natural 4c coily state most of the time. Due to an injury I wasn’t mobile and couldn’t care for my hair as usual. I noticed a lot of breakage and tangling. Combing through it was only going to cause more damage. The first time I used Goddess Strength Ultra Shield Pre-Poo, I was able to smooth and detangle my hair using my fingers only AND give my scalp a good massage. I followed with the shampoo, both conditioners and the hair oil. I’ve used the Pre-Poo twice since my initial experience with the product. I noticed less breakage with each use and my hair is soft, moisturized and much easier to manage. It has a pleasant scent that lasts and is not overbearing. I love trying new hair products and honestly believe this is one of the better ones for at home use.

My hair is a bit over 2 feet long, curly and WAS a bit unruly until 1 use of Carol's Daughter Goddess Strength Ultra Shield Pre-Shampoo Treatment. I have tried 3 other brands that just didn't deliver and feel that it's because of the 'Goddess Strength'. I think it's a Great Value because it only took about 3 tablespoons of the product for my very long hair. I heated my towel for 2 minutes in the microwave and then let it sit for more than an hour. My hair was absolutely SILKY when I rinsed it! So I took the opportunity to color my hair as a key to good coloring is to have clean hair. This is the BEST my color has EVER turned out! Used it as a pre treatment for hair before you shampoo. I think it did help my hair only I expected much more shine.

This is an absolute mustMy daughter has thin, curly hair and needs this as a pre treatment before her shower, without it I am battling a four year old with an attitude of a 14yr old!This has a strange but not unpleasant aroma, like a castor oil scentThe consistency is nice and thick but not too thick that you can spread evenly through the hair. I tend to leave it in for at least five mins before I rinse and condition her hair. This is my second bottle and it’s a must have now
