Gooseneck great for phone, not really for tablet use
I bought this to record demos for my students, using my iphone, it is a great tool. I tested with my small ipad mini. the gooseneck is NOT strong enough to hold the ipad in position. I can't imagine it working well with any tablet. If you plan to use your phone, then it is great for the price!

Although I am very satisfied but I am not sure about goose neck part how much use it can survive. Overall it is working as advertised.

Happy with this stand/holder
I am quite happy with this purchase so far. I have to record myself for grad school and this works great. I really like that they give you a clip for phones and a wider holder that can hold my Surface (without keyboard) and iPad mini to record no problem. The surface is a bit of a tight squeeze, but it holds it. I don't think it could old anything bigger. I like that is bendable and so far holds the angle that I place it at. I like that I can adjust it and can use it for just everyday use if I need to. Only downfall is base is a little wide/big, but not that big of an issue since its stable and I am not worried about it tipping over.
