Q: Will this fit in a ski backpack?

I don’t know what a ski backpack looks like, but I keep this with my scuba gear. When folded up it can be compacted into a decent sized bag. I normally lay it out then bring both ends together. I keep folding it up until it fits in the little bag it came in. Hope this helps.

Q: Does it come with open ron hooks to hook over the ledge or just the closed heavy duty hooks?

No. Found this out the hard way. Happy with the ladder itself.

Q: Can this be used from balcony patio railing

Only if you spend more money and get a balcony hook kit. Was unaware there was no way to hook it to window because it didn’t come with anything but the ladder.
