Imabari Towel Organic Cotton Bath Towel (2pcs)

Use this primarily during the warmer months because it's light and airy so dries quickly. Perfect size-- not over-done giant's size like many of those on the market. Not thick at all so doesn't take up a lot of room [easy to pack], but still with super great absorbency!I've used this towel for two summer seasons now and it's held up well in my regular weekly washes. I am careful not to let it get snagged by other things such as hooks, velcro, etc.

We had been using cotton Turkish towels (the ones with fringe) for camping because they dry so quickly. However I hated the fringe, which tended to drag onto the floor when using, and always started to unravel after a few washes. These are more expensive, but are beautifully finished around all the edges. The feel wonderful when using and dry quickly (although not quite as quickly as the thinner, single layer Turkish with fringe). Perfect size, weigh almost nothing.

It started pilling really bad on a corner and looks like it won't last too long. I've only had it for 2 weeks and washed it 3 times with small loads. Delicate/cold cycle with air drying. Super disappointed in the durability. It feels soft but not smooth. It isn't rough but it's not super plush and soft either. It felt fine on the skin but it doesn't dry super fast either. I prefer it to towels that feel like they dry out your skin. It takes like 2 seconds of extra drying while keeping a very fine film of moisture on your skin which you can't really feel, but I felt other towels dried out my skin completely. The towel dries quickly and doesn't seem to produce as much as lint as my older towels. It's also really lightweight and thin. It was a perfect towel if only it wasn't breaking down after 2 weeks.

Not for long term use

Very light and thin and yet with a high moisture absorbing capacity. It occupies a fraction of the space as regular towels when folded. It looks clean, elegant and minimalist in your bathroom. Just be aware that it does not have the cozy feel of western, thick towels.

Overall I like this and it is definitely a towel that I always want to have in my linen closet. It is thin, which makes it all the more amazing for how much water it absorbs.

This isn’t a terrible product but it isn’t durable and got a hole the first time I used it. I was disappointed because it was very absorbent and seemed high quality before that issue.
