Babymouse #18: Happy Birthday, Babymouse

My daughter loves this book.

The latest installment of Babymouse was a big hit at my house. My daughter loves to read Babymouse stories, and she was very excited when this book arrived. In this story, Babymouse is trying to plan her birthday party. In past years, Babymouse’s parties have been disasters, so she wants to do much better this year. Babymouse has big plans, and she invites everyone she knows, but she is dealt a crushing blow when arch-nemesis Felicia announces that she is having her own party that same day. Babymouse wants to have the best birthday ever, but Felicia’s party planning is over the top, and Babymouse can’t keep up. Can Babymouse break her propensity for planning bad parties or will this birthday be another bust? There are laughs aplenty, and I loved seeing my daughter giggling over Babymouse’s antics. Babymouse can be a little on the sarcastic side, but she has a fantastic imagination. I would recommend this book for children in the middle years of elementary school.

Very funny! Love Babymouse! It is diffucult to find age appropriate books for struggling upper elem readers. The books have great humor. I enjoy them! In my opinion perfect for struggling readers through 5th grade with all of the graphics without feeling like they're reading a "baby" book. I leveled the series and they go between early 2nd grade level to end of second but had a wide reading audience up to 5th grade. Very pleased to find a series struggling readers enjoy. Read them with your child and you may find them comical too. I do! PLEASE keep them coming!

My grand daughters (ages 7 & 9) loved these books, so it was nice that I could find them on line.

Another delightful entry into the Babymouse universe. Babymouse wants a gigantic blowout for birthday, but, as usual things just don't work out the way she imagines them.

I did not care for the content of this book. The word "stupid" was overused and the storyline seemed shallow.
