It is proven to work and it really does! Only hassle is you go have to use a several times a day for it to be effective. I used to thrown it in my workbag to use throughout the day but the spray top broke off. Now I leave it in the cardboard box it comes in, stick a marker in the box as a "filler" so it doesn't bounce around, and that way I have it in my workbag to use throughout the day, .

NasalCrom is one of those products that you hear so little about on TV and magazines and you begin to wonder why.I've used this product and I convinced my wife to try it and she is now a member of the choir. I'm not exactly certain how NasalCrom works but apparently, it works best when you use it prior to the allergy season and continue using it through the season. Somehow, it helps to build up your immune system. This time around, I was able to experiment with my wife, who has severe allergies, during the early Spring. Normally, she has to take every over the counter medicine known to man and the results are that she's usually groggy and miserable. Now, I'm not saying that NasalCrom wiped away all of her symptoms but it sure did relieve them substantially and as a result, she did not have to take as many OTC meds and she was her usual bright eyed self.Again, you have to start taking NasalCrom before the season and it takes a few days to build up, so it doesn't work instantly (Some say it works if you take it before going out.I haven't used it this way.). Also, you cannot readily find this product in your local pharmacy shelf, even though it's been out for approximately 5 years.

Nasalcrom is a great product for those individuals who suffer nasal congestion due to seasonal allergies. Two squirts in each nostril at bedtime is how I use it--but this product can be used every 6 hours(4 times daily)if needed to treat nasal congestion. I like this product because it is non habit-forming and safe to use for individuals of all ages. I am a pharmacist and I recommend this to all of my patients. In my opinion, Nasalcrom works best when taken with a once-daily antihistamine like Claritin, Zyrtec, or Allegra. Normally I caution my patients against using the new OTC nasal steroids (Flonase, Nasacort, Rhinocort, etc) unless their congestion is extremely problematic or severe. Even then I only recommend use of the nasal corticosteroids for a short period of time. I have found through personal experience that all of the nasal steroid products are physically habituating and are harsh on the mucous membranes--often leading to nosebleeds if used consistently over a long period of time. Nasalcrom is a far safer and better product to use for allergic nasal congestion in my professional opinion. I hope this helps.

I bought this because I was having constant sinus issues. I used if for a while and then forgot about it just because life was busy. I developed a nasal polyp months later, and have been struggling to get rid of it for almost a year. Steroid sprays did nothing--nasal washes did nothing--nothing helped. The polyp was so big I was getting headaches and had become accustomed to only breathing through one nostril. I found this in my medicine chest and decided it couldn't hurt. After using a few sprays for two days in a row, I woke up on the third day and realized I had air going through the nostril with the polyp. It's two days after this, and the polyp is literally half it's size in a mere 5 days of use. I can't believe after struggling with this thing for almost a year that the solution was in my medicine chest all along. Unbelievable results that I'm so grateful for. No side effects either--can't beat it!
