Would recommend
We recently installed a Yale smart home security system, which included 1 power switch. We decided to purchase a 2nd one to add to our system. Very easy to pair up with existing system. Brilliant product, can switch on/off lights while away from home via an app on my phone.

Brought the Yale Smart Home Alarm PIR Video Camera
Brought the Yale Smart Home Alarm PIR Video Camera. The camera itself is easy to fit, make sure you link it with the hub first. I had to take the batteries out for 5 seconds then reconnect before it synced. Picture quite is very poor, 320x240, however it is enough to see who is in your house that should or shouldn't be there. As soon as you enter the house the camera starts recording a 10 second clip with a led light if it is in the dark, this can be then viewed on the Yale app afterwards. It is also linked to the Yale Smart home alarm, so will set it off in motion is detected. This is completely wireless so runs on batteries which is good if you don't want wires around. You can purchase the Yale HD camera which is far less in price and with better quality pic however that is wired.Overall good for what I needed it for, but poor video quality lets it down from being five stars.

Yale Smart Plug - NOT RELIABLE!!
i purchased the Yale Smart alarm which came with a smart plug, which worked fine, i purchased an additional two smart plugs to switch house lights on and off, they installed to my current system easily, however they both failed within two days, the lights they were controlling remained on with them switched off on the app, you could hear the plugs clicking, obviously they were both faulty. amazon took them back with no question. i will try some more, but they are expensive and i would expect them to work and last some time.

SMART way
Arrived on time and installed onto existing system with ease.Improved Application allows for SMART working, yet would like to see more improvement around the APP and smart plugs.

Simple to set up
I had my system professionally installed originally and balked at adding this PIR camera myself. It was a dawdle. Instructions in the box were good, but supplemented with an online video - really easy to find - I found linking it to my existing system using the app was straightforward.

No support from Yale
I had a problem with the alarm and tried to solve it through their customer support. Their support is awful with emails taking days to be answered and phoning is pointless due to the long waits. What followed was a series of emails often asking the same questions and offering the same solution which I had repeatedly tried with no success. After over 2 months of this I did some research into who was who at Yale. One name came out as being the person who was in charge of publicity for promoting the smart alarm. It was pretty easy to guess his email at Yale and a polite letter explaining what had been going on soon got a response. He delegated the task to a team leader of the customer support team. After several emails he switched me to a different server and the alarm began working. It was fairly easy to set up the alarm initially. I liked the idea of being able to control it from my phone. You can with the addition of a camera take a picture although not quite the resolution you need. It is expandable which is what I plan to do next. Yale need to spend some time giving better fault finding advice on their web site and training up more support staff.

Easy to use and set up
To replace previous faulty camera, so was easily to replace, just hold the very fine cable connection does but break when replacing batteries.
