USB Computer Speaker for Laptop, External Speakers for Desktop Computer with Crystal Clear Sound, Rich Bass and Volume Buttons, Plug-N-Play (Black)

I had this amazing set of surround-sound Bose speakers, connected to a huge Bose sub-woofer, for a large screened monitor for watching TV and movies. The Bose sound system worked great for about 10 years, and yesterday, suddenly, it committed suicide (I was watching World News at the time, draw your own conclusions from that).I will be replacing the system with something rather equivalent in quality but in the mean time I needed to do something if I wanted to be able to continue watching on the giant monitor. I set out to find an inexpensive speaker that I could place close to my head (where I generally sit and watch movies), as a substitute until the new system is in place. The reason that I'm writing this review, is I am amazed at the quality of this little $10 speaker. It is certainly not what I had before and was never intended to be, but as a quick fix in a pinch, I have to say it is surprisingly good!I Placed my order and purchased this little speaker yesterday evening, and I have it in my hands, in less than 24 hours. Prime shipping made it free, and it arrived well packaged.Admittedly, I was not expecting much, especially for the price point, and the fact that it was a singular speaker, add that to the fact that I had been spoiled by my high-end sound system. No, I was not expecting much. (Humorous side note, although this speaker is in fact $10 on Amazon, directly next to the price on the product page, in parentheses, it says...$5 item. I guess we are aware of the markup now).How pleasantly surprised I am at the sound quality of this little replacement speaker. It has a rather deep and rich bass sound, which I am surprised about and its volume is such that I cannot keep it close to my head at full volume as it is too loud. For what it is, it does an excellent job. I am certain that on vacations, because it is in fact so small, I will take it with me and plug it into my laptop when watching videos or movies while away. All in all, I am really pleased with this product and very surprised at the quality considering the price point.Oh... One other point I should not neglect mentioning, the unit is powered via USB and the manufacturer includes a Free USB-C to USB adapter (this would be necessary for example if you are utilizing Apple products which I happen to be doing. Nice little bonus to include the adapter for free)If you need a strong little inexpensive speaker, that is simply plug and play, I definitely recommend picking up one of these, i'm quite pleased with my purchase.

I was very happy with this purchase. This speaker is very lightweight and easy to use. It looks perfect on our desk and doesn't take up too much space. It's very well made and the volume on it is loud.

Small, but mighty. I've only used it a few times because I just got it, and I'm impressed. I got it because my work desktop is inconsistent and since I listen to podcasts, trials, etc during the day (background noise), I wanted something that would provide clear, adjustable sound but not break the bank and this is perfect.

Great gadget! Very handy to have a mute button, in addition to volume control. Makes watching shows so much better because now I can hear everything, and don’t have to depend on reading the subtitles super fast, with my face up close to the screen! Makes it so I can listen/hear, and thereby pay better attention to watching the program.If you go online to listen to lectures, or zoom, or remote court proceedings, or any broadcast entertainments, then you know the audio isn’t always good (or good enough for you to hear). This extra speaker, with its 4 foot cord, is a brilliant remedy that really helps.

This speaker's best feature is that it teaches the consumer the enduring lesson of how much better it would have been to spend a little bit more for a product that actually works longer than a month and a day. Spend $20 on a functional speaker or $10 on this thing. Given that it's $10 and the audio isn't crunchy and intolerable, you'll impressed when it initially works. And equally unimpressed the point that it stops working, which, going by other reviews, is suspiciously close to the closing of Amazon's return window. My overall takeaway is that this junk was (RIP) built poorly, a waste of money, and a cheap, ugly, efficient generator of plastic waste. An experience worth $5 at best. In short, it's exactly what you expect, trust your instincts, $10 is too expensive for garbage. You deserve better.

The speaker is a nice size and doesn't take up space on the desk. It has a mellow and clear sound, not brassy or muffled. What I really appreciate is the volume and mute buttons on the top of the speaker. No fuss. No frills. Just a good speaker for the price. Would buy again.

I bought this lightweight speaker (it's one speaker, not a set) for my dad's desktop PC, which has old, sputtering speakers and has been having sound problems for months. This new speaker plugged right in, is easy to use, does an excellent job, and I also tested it successfully on my laptop. The decrease and increase volume buttons are easily marked, as is the middle Mute button. Currently priced at $9.99 plus tax, it's a steal, and I'm now buying another one.
