I've been using this product for at least twenty years. Always reliable. I have found that a wet a rag with the production it before pushing the rag around on the wood floor with a sponge mop gives a perfectly even distribution of shine.I want to thank the Customer Service department for replacing a bottle of the product that came open in shipping and caused the liquid to spill out in the plastic bag. The company was very quick in sending me another bottle right a way. I particularly appreciated their fast response as I'm preparing my house for Christmas!

I highly recommend Holloway House Quick Shine. I have used it for years on my hardwood floors. Just clean the floor with oil soap first, let it dry and apply Quick Shine. Or, if your floor is already clean, just apply, wipe and let dry. If your hardwood has a sealer (e.g. Swedish finish), your floor will look shiny and new!

My wood floors, after a few years of cleaning, had a dull look to them. I actually had to get down on my hands and knees and wash them with a cloth, soap and water, to try to get the dullness out. Ugh!I've tried LOTS of different products. I'm that person who will buy some new cleaning thing, just to see if it makes cleaning easier (I HATE cleaning!!)So, when I bought this, I figured it would be just like the others by not doing what I expected. Boy, was I wrong. This stuff makes my floors shine! Just squirt on the floor and use a dry mop to spread it around.This product has exceeded all my expectations, and I would definitely recommend it. I've actually purchased the Quick Shine sweeper, which I also love. It works great on wood and tile floors. I'm expecting to get the floor cleaner in the mail and expect this to be just as great as the floor finish.

The Quick Shine container instructions are the second worst in world history.......a terrible injustice to a such a great product. My specifics related to cleaning and repairing the finish are shown below.SUMMARYOur home was built in 1900 and has oak and pine floors. We have tried many other products to get lasting shine.....only Quick Shine gave brilliant shine that was not slippery/near lethal for humans and dogs to walk on day to day.SPILLS THAT MAR THE FINISHAfter our first application....a few weeks later an odd shaped 1 foot x 3 inch gap in the finish appeared yielding a dull scar in the Quick Shine finish. My guess was something was spilled. To fix this all I did was clean the area with cold water, dried it immediately ..then applied two or three coats of Quick Shine that blended nicely into the remainder of the floor allowing each coat to dry. Took 15 minutes or so.CLEANINGWhen the finish needs cleaning I take use a small spray bottle filled with water, set it on mist and spray 3 or 4 feet x 8 feet of the kitchen floor at a time...then immediately use Swiffer mop with microfiber small towels cut to fit to dry the mist on the floor....pushing down moderately hard on the Swiffer. When one towel sliver becomes wet/moist I replace it with a dry one.

This product is wonderful. I am a perfectionist about my floors. I have antique random width notty pine floors. I am very careful to keep them looking good. Quick Shine makes the floors sparkle with a shine that is just right. It is easy to apply. I use the Swiffer dry cloth refills. This allows me to change the applicator after each room and not have the problem of smearing residual dirt from room to room. I don't apply Quick Shine until the floors have first been cleaned with Bona cleaner.The Bona cleaner/Quick Shine combination works beautifully.

This stuff added instant gloss to my prefinished hardwood floors, though I'm not sure how much it will protect the flooring . I followed other reviewers' advise in cleaning floor well and applying with microfiber mop. The product applies a very thin plastic-like coating to the floor that, even after drying for a few hours, still was scraped up by pushing in a chair with felt floor protectors on. On another section of my floor I waited an hour before applying the second coat, which was not long enough as it messed up parts of the first layer that hadn't thoroughly "hardened." Make sure when applying additional coats that you wait good and long until the previous coat has no tackiness at all (varied between my two rooms between 45 minutes and 1.25 hours). Was able to find the 64oz refill at the local big box for a few dollars cheaper, so won't be ordering this particular product through Amazon again.Update 10/28/14Gloss did not last more than a couple of weeks, and now my floor looks like a smudgy smartphone screen. Going to have to get this stuff off and try something else. What a hassle.

well this was bought after reading all the reviews that said it was great to use. my husband and i followed the directions perfectly.. we have had most of the house recently redone in Brazilian cherry, so the floors we were doing were new.... we cleaned perfectly, we applied, let it dry then applied again.. well it did not look good at all,,,, so then we had to remove it, and that took an entire day to remove it, we only did 2 rooms but that was close to 1,000 sq feet, so it was a nightmare.... we bought a different product and it worked perfectly, and made the floors shine and gloss and not sticky and looks really great... be careful with this ..

Really was quick and easy to apply. I used a microfiber mop but am thinking that maybe I should have went with a sponge mop? My floors are not as "shiny" as I thought they would be (could be my type of hardwood?) but they look so much better. I did not like the smell but when the floor dried there was not even a hint of the scent. Would definitely recommend!!!
