Snoozers : 7 Short Short Bedtime Stories for Lively Little Kids
M**W
We stand with House Boynton.
My babysitter and my son loved reading this book together so much that I had to get a copy. I was surprised by the negative reviews, and I'm pretty sure they're unfounded. I wish there were more books like this, and am currently on a side-quest to acquire all of Sandra's books. My son loves the short stories, and at 2 years old I can let him pick the stories out from the colorful tabs. He already knows where all the stories are, and likes to play along and say some of the words with me ("SNORE!!!!"). This is the case with several of Sandra's beautiful and well-written books. These stories are a great length for keeping attention, and allow you to give your child some control over things without being a pain. (I have a graduate degree with a minor in child development, post-grad training with traumatized children, and routinely work with children from all backgrounds.)

Best bedtime book EVER — and even the adults love it!
Bought this as a gift. Already had our own copy. My three yr old has been begging for these little poems/stories nearly every night since friends gave us their old copy when she was less than two. The illustrations, kid-friendly table of contents with index tabs, and the peppy rhymes are a big hit with the Littles. The humor is a BIG hit with the parents. (It’s SO nice to have a familiar bedtime book that doesn’t bore us to death!) In our family, everyone can recite the entire book by heart now, and it has become a kind of game. “Little Bear” protests in the book, “I’m not tired,” but then falls asleep mid-protest. Now the three year old’s bedtime protests always end in laughter. “But I’m not sleepy,” she’ll say. We reply, “OK, Little Bear,” and she giggles on her way up the stairs. If you find you love the book as much as we do, check out the CD Philadelphia Chickens by Boynton. We found it through our library and were delighted to find favorite Boynton poems from this and other books set to music. Happy bedtimes! :)

It's cute and fun, but not our favorite Boynton book
We are huge Sandra Boynton fans, I have at least 15 of her books. I thought this looked like a fun addition, especially for our bed time routine. It's been a decent purchase, but not our favorite. The book has the 7 short, page long stories. My nearly 2 year old gets a little bored when we're reading it. I think it's because he's used to other Boynton books that have a few verses per page. I'm not sure he understands that each one is meant to be a story by itself. I wish we would've waited until he was closer to 2 1/2 or 3 to get this. I was overly ambitious about expanding our board book library. If you don't already have them, I recommend "Pajama Time" and "The Going to Bed Book" as your first line Boynton bed time books. Although, if your child has a long attention span. this one might be great for you.

Another hit by Sandra Boynton
My kid and I are big Sandra Boynton fans. My kid recognizes her distinctive artwork and when she sees a Boynton book, we have to sit down and read it. This book was one of my kids faves when she was younger. She was enchanted by the pictures and the catchy rhymes. The book also introduces a lot of concepts like animals, counting and bedtime routines like pajamas and bedtime stories. I expect that when my kid has more advanced language abilities she'll get a kick out of the silly lyrics and rhymes.s

BEST CHILDREN'S BOOKS
BEST CHILDREN'S BOOKS. You won't be disappointed. She is a wonderful author and the pictures are darling. My friend told me about them and said they were her kid's favorites, so I ordered them. And then I ordered two more sets! I will be remembering these for baby shower gifts. My grandson requests them all the time.

Fun book that my kids all loved!
All of my kids loved this book. I still have it from when my kids were babies. My older daughter asked me to save it until she has her own kids. Ours is so beat up I just bought a new one to have for nieces, nephews, and then some day my grandchildren. The most fun from this book comes from when you read it to the kids.

A really nice book to read to your baby.
What a wonderful, whimsical book to read to your little one. Do the sound effects while you're reading. It'll be worth the extra effort.

Not my favorite Boynton book
I usually love Sandra Boynton books but this one was not my favorite. First, they aren't stories, they are really short poems, and some of them really don't make very much sense - which would have been fine if my kid liked them, but he really didn't.She has other great books that I would recommend, but not this one

Instant Hit
I bought this for my 3 year old son and it has proved to be an instant hit with 6 out of the 7 stories/songs being requested often. One of the has a line for the kids to say and he enjoys participating.
