I think it was great when it worked, but that didn't last very long. I rinsed and soaked with fresh water after every dive. I also dried the case before opening it each time.Unfortunately, after only 2 dives the labels on buttons began peeling off. After 10 dives, on a few dives, the housing unpaired with the phone mid dive. After around 20 dives, none of the buttons on the back of the case would work any more. I continued to do more than 30 dives with the housing, however, those last 10-15 dives I could only use the top/shutter to take photos. I could not toggle to the compass/computer, or use zoom, focus etc.

It was time to get another underwater camera, so I started shopping around.The thing that drew me to this product is it's versatility. With this phone housing, my camera improves, every time I upgrade my phone. I also loved that the housing displays your dive info, so you don't have to take your eyes off the subject or camera.At first I was a bit concerned with the chance of flooding the housing and ruining a phone and the housing. I did a few test dives with an old iPhone6. The housing worked absolutely perfectly.Max depth on our week of diving in Cozumel was 122ft. No issues or scares with this case and flooding.For the trip I used an iPhone X. The pictures and video (day and night without strobe) turned out amazing. The color correction with the software was really good. It adjusts pictures and video equally as well.Love this housing so much, I'm purchasing another one, along with the stobes for the wife.

Seems like a solid, well made product. The apps have nice features, and can even function as a dive computer--with very big numbers, which is nice as I'm getting older. I'm not entirely certain how the computer works for repetitive dives, though, because the unit failed after first dive. It didn't leak or anything, but one of the LED's that confirms a watertight seal failed. I *think* it was still sealed but didn't trust it, and wouldn't trust it again on a big trip, and for the money. The vendor was great with the return, and the main reason for 4 stars. This was on a trip to Indonesia, so glad I had a backup camera.

(1) The labels on the buttons are stickers that came off after the second dive.(2) The new Kraken app doesn't read the depth sensor, so you are wasting your money on the more expensive model.(3) The buttons are intermittent. Work sometimes, not others.(4) about 1/3rd of the time, the bluetooth dropped during the dive.(5) Really need some way to dim/turn off your phone screen before/after dive. You want to load the case in a dry place, but then you'll be burning battery before the dive starts. One phone charge didn't make it through a 2 tank boat trip.Company doesn't respond to request for a return.

It works great! Exactly as expected. We were a little worried that the phone battery would run down too fast.... but that’s not the case at all. Our iPhone X drained about 20% over a full hour dive. That gave us more the than enough for 4 full dives.The case connects effortlessly to the phone and the app helps take great photos.One note: you have to release the vacuum seal by pulling on the valve at the front. That step is not listed in the instructions on how to open it.

The case is great and easily fits my iPhone 11 Pro, but the Kraken app is a different story...constant crashes, crashes when you take a pic in zoom mode, the buttons don't work most of the time and the app locks frequently...this app desperately needs updating by a real programmer.As an alternative if you need an app that will work with this case get the Deep Photo app it works PERFECTLY with the case although if you want the advanced tools you have to purchase a subscription but the basic functions without paying are good enough for any diver to use in the Kraken case.

It's a little pricy at first, so we were hesitant, but we took it on our scuba vacation, and got a lot of great photos. This is perfect for anyone who isn't willing/able to drop thousands on an underwater camera housing, but still wants some good memory pics.
