Ark Rubber and Resin Ltd ARKMat 2 x Stable Horse Floor Matting EVA 24mm Eva Cushioned Mats

We have recently moved our horse to a new DIY Livery yard, and he had previously been used to having some stable floor matting. My partner looked around, we wanted something that was thick and durable, and we ordered 2 mats. They arrived promptly wrapped together and protected by polythene from dirt and wet. We just managed to fit them in the back of a Landrover Discovery , when separated they were a bit more flexible.My partner who is an experienced horse woman was originally concerned that these were much lighter than the heavy rubber mats in the past, and worried if they would stay put. Their relative lightness made them easy to manhandle, transport and put down on the concrete floor of the stable. The first day we installed them one way round, and one of them had moved slightly overnight. The second day we turned them at right angles, and this seemed to do the trick, they have subsequently stayed in place with no movement.The horse likes them, more comfortable for him to stand on, and they make mucking out easier, but you can still easily lift a corner to get underneath if you need to . Overall these seem a good quality product, and in due course we may consider getting 4 more to complete coverage in his new stable. So far, so good, they offer a good level of cushioning, seem robust, and are easy to manhandle and transport, and have lived up to expectations. If you buy 2, or a full set of 6, then they are better value for money. We are happy to recommend these as a good product to buy that does the job well that they are meant for

These mats are lovely and light and I cut them to size for the stable and they fitted perfectly but after a week of use they had stretched and spread so I had to re-cut them again which was a bit messy. My advice would be to allow a margin of 2 - 4 inches for them to stretch. Otherwise I like them. They feel warm and will certainly protect my horses legs from scrapes.

These are by far the best stable mats I have kitted 3 stables out with these mats and I’ve had one stable 6 years and they are still going strong. Won’t buy any other mats for my ponies. I can move them myself they are so lightweight and are so soft and spongy. Just the best.

There are extremely light to carry and what I like the most is that the quality is not effected by this. Great product would recommend without hesitation and would purchase again if need be.

These mats are absolutely perfect. They have made life so much easier instead of trying to move the massive cow matting to clean under. Bent so many nails on the cow mats I can’t even count but these mats are so light and I can lift them myself which is a massive added bonus! The mats are better quality than the more expensive (by £15 per mat) mats I bought from the local farm shop. Would definitely buy again and will be placing another order soon.

seems to be wearing very well. But the best thing is wifey takes them out of the stables to wash them and then puts them back all by herself. with the old mats it was me doing it, and it used to kill me.

Bought these to put down on garage floor. Can feel the difference already. Good and solid yet soft and lightweight. Appears to have helped with moisture in garage. Good product and very well worth the money
