Best thing I ever bought for my cookie making hobbies.

I have used these 12" and 18" impulse sealers for years. However, since the Mylar bag is only 3" wide for my current project, this 8" unit is better suited.When sealing hundreds of bags, we move the bag to different areas of the band to spread the wear and tear and reduce the Teflon tape from burning out too quickly.The tiny feet on the bottom of the unit were too small, so I stabilized the machine with thick rubber. Now, everything is good.Considering the price of this model, I will still award this unit 5 stars, even with the tiny feet.

This little sealer is super easy to use—just press down for a few seconds and you’re done. It works great on smaller snack bags and resealable food bags. Larger chip bags don’t fit well, but everything else seals tight and stays fresh. I like that it comes with extra heating strips and has a dial to adjust for different bag types. It feels well-made and gets the job done without any hassle.

This product is an impulse sealer, and should not be confused for a vacuum sealer. It only seals using a heat strip. Worked well on plastic bags and food bags like chips, cereal etc. Also works really good on shrink wrap. It's very simple to use, just connect it to an outlet, set the heat power level (higher for thicker bags, lower for thin plastic especially shrink wrap bags) and close the handle on the bag. After a couple of seconds, the bag is melted closed. Very professional result. For shrink bags you can then use a hair dryer or heat gun to get a professional shrink wrap. Only thing I had to tinker with a bit is the heat level. Every type of bag has a sweet spot. I suggest starting in the middle and turning the level up or down as needed for different bags. Good product.

Great heat sealer. Super easy to use...just plug it in, adjust the setting to the material you are sealing and close the handle, great seal in seconds. I have used these types of sealers for years and this one does what you need. Not super bulky and it is easy to store.

I have one other impulse sealer that's a little bigger than this one (12" versus 8"). This one is a handier size and works for most of the bags I want to seal. It's nice because it has an adjustable dial on the front if you need a higher or lower heat setting (depending on the type and thickness of bags you are using). So far it has worked great on all the bags I've sealed with it, and I'd recommend it if you're looking for an 8" sealer.

We have developed an ant problem in our pantry. I guess I could be glad it’s not another, more gross issue but there is nothing worse than pouring your cereal into a bowl and seeing the ants beat you to it. This is great for resealing bags but didn’t work too well for the bobo balloons I tried to reseal; I freely admit, however, that could be operator error.Includes and replacement filament. Doesn’t take too long to heat up.
