No 1000 grit disk will last as long as you want, but this was perfect for the job of wet sanding oxidation off Gell Coat.

Use to wet sand boat. They work very well to remove oxidation but they don’t last very long.

Works well for color sanding of auto paint job, works best for me keeping the surface wet, (wet sanding)
