I came upon this product and reading the posts, a reviewer stated he couldn't see spending over $50 for a frog. I was thinking the same thing. Nonetheless, he purchased it and gave the frog a great review. After some hesitation, I went through and made a purchase. Got it, this weekend, and the frog turned out to be perfect for my NCO sword. The product is not patent leather ("shiny") but the colors matched - frog and scabbard. The stitching is very professional and the hide thick. Great buy and I'm satisfied.

Ordered this to go with my Marine NCO Sword. Didn't want to spend $50. The photo didn't really show the product well, but I took a chance. It is a nice product. Fits well with my sword. As a Sergeant with 8th & I, had to carry a sword for work. This seems the same as what we used. The finish is not patent/shiny. Flat black, real leather, good stitching. I didn't give it 5 stars because it's just a frog, and I can't imagine loving any frog. It is exactly what it is supposed to be.

I gave it 5-stars because it's nice leather and is well-made, but just like the one I was issued long ago, the edges need some smoothing with an edge trimmer and burnishing wheel, then a good spit-shine.

As titled, the product is perfect. A nice, genuine leather sword frog. The sheen matches the scabbard of the USMC NCO sword perfectly.
