POL952 Star Trek 1:1000 USS Defiant Deep Space Nine

Fantastic little model kit.was looking for something a bit quicker to build and this was great.came will all the decals needed if you do not feel like painting them by hand.Fit was good with very little cleanup needed

Great kit, of a great little ship. Good detail. Perfect for lighting. Decals could have more colour.

I don't know much of scaling of models but I must say this one is soooooooooo tiny! Which is hugely disappointing. Too easy to make again hugely disappointing.Redeeming qualities, brilliant decals and model detail..Plus very speedy delivery- at warp speed?!So. Three stars. Moderately satisfied with product but will not buy the defiant in this scale again.

Not to scale. Poor show on details

I bought this kit at the same time as the two model kit of the USS Grissom and Klingon BoP from the movie The Search for Spock. The model of the Defiant is a bit bigger than the others, but is still quite small, although probably given the scale is about right compared to other PL and AMT Star Trek models I have. Construction was quick and easy, as there are few parts and the finished model measures max 17cm long by 13cm at widest point. There is not a great deal of surface detail, but that is in line with the TV DS9 image. It isn't a bad kit, but again the decals seemed to fall apart quite easily and I had to make use of painting to cover items where decals were not useable. Again, not that much raw plastic in the kit and probably not worth the near £40 cost in the UK.

excellent little model. very detailed. 1;1000? not according to the deep space nine technical manual. Defiant is a small gunship smaller than a bird of pray but just as powerful. This model much is more in scale to 1/350 .

I just got back into model building, and I decided to get this one because I missed building model star ships. This one is a very quick build, great for a first kit, but detailed enough to look good for display.No paint required but if you are good at painting you can make it a very good looking model.I am not so great at painting but I am working on it, so to that end I decided to do mine up with WWII style D-Day stripes and tiger teeth. It was all freehand so not the best paint job. Again, none required for this model, just me being silly.5 stars, Model is as advertised, at no point was there any frustration about parts not fitting, or breaking, or other stupid stuff, a good quality beginner model kit.Only thing I would note is the clear plastic parts for engines are clear and not color tinted, thin layer of paint on the interior side will make it look decent, if you are inclined you could rig it up with LED lights pretty easy too.

Tuvieron un pequeño retraso en la entrega pero el artículo llegó en perfecto estado. Está muy bien detallado, tiene preferencia por las calcomanías más que por el pintado del modelo y puedes armarlo aún sin pegamento.

Item received in great condition. Can't wait to get my hands on more starships!

This was purchased for a friend's birthday and was assembled infront of me. The recreation of the Defiant in an easy to assemble kit was a great gift but there were some of the smaller pieces that were challenging to work with. Since he had never put a model kit together ever it could be a lack of experience, same for myself, that presented the issue. We also didn't have any tools. Overall I was very satisfied with the overall product.
