The band is essentially a flexible steel mesh with mount points attached. It is light-weight but feels strong. The black color is a good match for the watch. On my adult male wrist it fits fine and is comfortable to wear. On a person with small wrists it might be too big, though. The magnet is strong enough that it doesn't move except when I adjust it. With the infinite positioning, I can adjust it as my wrist naturally expands and contracts during the day. It feels solid and I see no reason it will not last a long time.If I had one complaint, it is where the band mounts. The band uses standard mounts, but the Vivoactive HR doesn't have standard mount points. Instead the original band partially covers the ends and hides the mount points. This band doesn't have that, there are simple metal sleeves over the pins that would look right on just about any other watch except the Vivoactive HR. When you first put it on, it doesn't quite look right on the watch and the watch looks big on your wrist in comparison to the band. I have gotten used to it now and don't usually think about it.

This band comes nowhere close to fitting the current model of the Vivoactive HR. Looking at photos of previous models, I can understand it fitting, but it does not fit the current model (Feb 2017). Returning this.

Nice watch band, but the connection to the vivoactive hr itself is too small. It fits and connects securely, it is just so thin that it makes the watch look awkward.The band looks great, the magnet secures well. I switched back to the original rubber band because the size looks better with the watch.

Nice looking band (though doesn't look that great where it attaches to the watch). It does get loose and you had to re-tighten it throughout the day. Occasionally caught arm hairs in the band. For those two reasons I switched to another band (though, am looking for a replacement for it as well so won't link here)

I like the watch band way better than the silicone band that came with the watch. The magnet could be a little stronger as mine slips while I wear it and every so often I have to adjust the tightness. The metal braided band allows my arm to breathe. I have a little difficulty getting it over my hand but that is not a deal breaker.

Great band, much more comfortable than rubber band, is infinitely adjustable, looks great and does not change adjustments. A little hard to install, but only because of having to hold two scew drivers and watch at same time.

the watch is big

It's just as advertised. So far so good. Easy to install though there were no instructions. Very comfortable band. It does stay in place.
