Great reference
I'm always interested in learning more about the connection between food and health. That's what this book delivers. It's written in a very easy to understand and friendly way that's not intimidating for someone without a medical background. I read quite a bit about diet and nutrition, but I didn't realize that specific foods can help support specific organs. The author suggests foods that help support your spleen, liver, heart, etc. She also addresses emotions and our health, which is normally not explored in Western medicine. The case studies were helpful in learning more about what symptoms might appear if one of your organs is "out of balance" and how the author recommends treating those imbalances. I found this book to be a great reference to add to my collection in my search for better health!

It's super easy to read
This book is a must-have! I always thought I knew so much about nutrition and how to improve your health with food. But, this book really opened up my eyes to more! This book has it all. It's super easy to read. It's so fascinating that you don't want to put it down-you want to read to the end to see what other amazing food tips you can learn to make yourself feel better. Whether you have headaches a lot, get angry easily, have issues with depression, anxiety, anything- if you follow the advice this author gives you-you are sure to feel a world of difference in your body. This a great gift too-everyone I have showed the book to- all want their own copy.

Excellent resource
I was very impressed with this book. I consider it a valuable resource that I plan to refer to frequently. It is well written, well researched and written in clear simple language that anyone can understand. As a Nurse, I enjoyed reading the Case Studies to see how the author approached patient situations and set out to resolve them. Very interesting. This book is a wealth of information on how to improve your physical and mental health with proper foods and key herbs. I learned a lot and really consider this a call to action to make critical changes in my own health. I would highly recommend this book. I plan to purchase additional copies as gifts for friends.

Toss the meds and read this book!
I am so impressed with this book! Fix Your Mood With Food taught me how what we eat has a direct impact on our brain and total body chemistry. It's written in a way that's clear and easy to understand. The author writes all of her amazing tips and suggestions in a way a friend might explain to you -- never preachy or lofty. This book changed the way I think about food. I find myself referring to it regularly. I love this book!

Hugely enjoyable insight into some practical applications of TCM
Fascinating! Heather Lounsbury can really write. She has an easy, engaging style, and gives a clear, uncluttered exposition of her topic. This is the first Western account I've ever read that explains Traditional Chinese Medicine in a way that makes sense to me. I found it really compelling.

Das Buch war ok, hatte mir aber mehr erwartet. Voranging sind es Patientenbeispiele. Hinten sind auch zusammenfassende Tabellen welche Lebensmittel welche Emotionen begünstigen oder zu meiden sind.
