Reall like it
It doesn’t get creases in it, the speed is consistent & accurate to a nice green. It’s truly perfect for practicing straight putts up to 8 feet. No complaints. FYI: Pet hair sticks to it very easily so a lint roller is nice to have if you have a dog or cat that sheds at all lol

Fantastic putting mat with one important flaw.
I'm a mid-capper that lives in an apartment in the midwest, and this is the best indoor putting green solution for me. I was struggling with my speed on the green, and after putting on it a few times week, my speeds have improved massively, and my confidence has skyrocketed. The one issue I have with this green is that it the ball will leave a temporary groove after a couple putts, so it's better for working on putting speed than face-alignment. More on that below.Positives:+ It easily rolls up and stores away in the (awesome) carrying case, which makes the girlfriend happy.+ Markings for alignment are very helpful+ The quality is top notch. I keep it in the carrying case, which means 3-5 times a week I pull it out, unroll it, putt for 10-20 minutes, then rolling it back up. My putting stance also means my feet are halfway on the mat. With all of that, it's not showing any signs of wear after a couple months of this routine. My cat even clawed at it a few times when I wasn't looking, and it didn't fray!Negative:- The grooving. After 2 or 3 putts, the ball leaves a groove that clearly effects the line of the ball. If you putt slightly off-line, you will see the ball curve back into the groove as it rolls. That means every few puts, I'll walk the mat and sort of scrub it with my putter or my foot to remove the groove. Minor inconvenience, but worth noting.Thoughts & tips:1) The surface you put it on matters. When I put it on my carpet, it rolls slow (if I had to guess, around a 7-8 stimp). When I put it on hardwood in the kitchen, it rolls more like an 8-9. The "10 stimp" claim is a bit of a stretch.2) When I'm working on face alignment, I do the ruler drill (google it!). That way I don't have to worry about the grooving.3) I bought the Puttout pressure trainer to go with my mat and it's awesome. Highly recommend it.

Lays flat, with the ramp putting hole it makes it challenging.

Absolute must have gift for the perfect man cave
I got the whole puttout kit with the gates along with the hole that returns the ball to you for a friend as a christmas gift because I figured he would love it during the winter. This has turned out to be the best christmas gift ever. Everyone who goes over to his apartment loves putting. We have all probably taken about 5000 practice putts by now! So, let me tell you: if you know someone who loves golf but can't play it in the winter, this gift (where you get all the puttout extras that go with the putting green) will probably rank among the best gifts they ever got in their life. The only thing I would recommend is that if you do get this as a gift and your friend is left handed and doesn't have a bunch of extra putters laying around, buy a cheap-o putter to go with it so that other people can also putt too. We have watched football while putting and loved it. Seriously it's super fun and with the gates it's very very challenging even if you are already pretty good at putting.

Great Mat, but it’s not without flaw
As others have mentioned, my mat has fallen victim to the crease from practicing. It’s not a huge deal to me because I’m working on pace, but nevertheless it is there. Also note, the crease appears rather quick, I’ve been putting daily for about a month, and I see the ball follow the crease now. I still use this thing 7/7 days a week, and it has helped me with my putting. Don’t regret this purchase at all.

Balls roll fast as desired, easy to unfold
Balls roll on it similar as they do on a typical green. The lines on mat help control ball speed as well as alignment. However, to relocate the mat, you need to be careful. I opened and tested it on main level after receiving it, then when I moved it to basement by simply bi-folding it, I did not roll it. Well, that put a kink at folding line and it’s very difficult to be smooth again. I used it for a couple of weeks thinking the kink would be gone, but it did not. That’s when I decided to replace it with a exact same mat.

Rolls very true but can give false sense of confidence
A putting stroke is a funny thing. If the putting surface is very pure (think PGA tour level) then you can have a questionable putting stroke and still make a lot of putts. Why? Very short grass (I.e. fast on the stimpmeter) and perfectly rolled means there is little grain or abnormalities on the surface. So a ball that hit with a slight sidespin will still go pretty straight. This Puttout mat is a bit like that. You can get away with a poor stroke and still make nearly every putt. I can make a 100 in a row to my artificial cup at about 7 foot. Now, on a normal golf club green the grass is longer and the surface is not nearly as pure. A purely struck putt where the ball goes end over end will have a good chance of going in on a 7 foot straight putt but any deviation from that and the long grass grabs the spinning ball and rips it sometimes nearly a foot away from the hole even when the putt was only 7 foot. Because the Puttout mat does not tell you if your stroke is flawed and actually gives you great results even for poor putts I cannot give it 5 stars. I would prefer a mat that has a bit of grain and that more closely resembles the typical greens we experience as amateurs. This is probably pretty hard to make to be fair but trust me, the pros would struggle on most normal greens that are slow and wobbly. If you want to feel what it is like to putt on pure greens like the PGA tour then the Puttout mat is great for that but don't be fooled. Your stroke may be worse than you think and you find out pretty quick when you hit real world golf courses in the UK in middle of a long winter!

Great for alignment
Initial comments after less than a day of use... Putt Out mat and Putt Out Perfect Trainer: The Putt Out Perfect Trainer cup is a keeper. My old style wide mouth electric putt return thingy is going in the bin. The mat is also a keeper, though I considered returning it due to speed and storage -see comments below. The Putt Out mat is great for alignment with all the markings. I found my stroke really grooving to a good path quickly. I agree with some other reviews that it doesn't seem like a 10 stimp on carpet, or for the few I hit off tile, that some reviewers say makes it faster. Over carpet will be my default anyway. Partly condo layout, mostly that not a good idea for a bad putt to be rolling on tile with neighbours below, especially early in the morning when I'm likely to hit a few putts.Being in a condo and married, the mat will be used less than just the Perfect Trainer as though my wife is understanding, it won't stay out all the time. As I said, I thought about returning it due to the speed but decided that the alignment aids alone make it worth it. Even if I just go back to the mat occasionally to reinforce my path.Another concern I had about keeping it was quickly getting it in and out of the storage bag. I have some arthritis in my thumbs, so probably I have more issues than others rolling it tightly. I will get better with practice I'm sure, but the big tip is KEEP THE CARDBOARD TUBE IT CAME IN...I almost threw it out. Easiest way to store it I found is just to pull the mat out from the bag and cardboard tube, (again easier probably without arthritis) and to store it, feed it into the cardboard tube standing upright in the bag.

This is an excellent mat. Recommended by my golf coach and is perfect.
This is an excellent mat. Comes with a storage/shoulder carry bag. Good quality. Recommended by my golf senior pga pro. Runs at about 10 on stimp meter so ideal for uk greens practice. I also have the pressure putt and these work great together.
