Whatever I Was Expecting, After Reading The Reviews, It Was Not This.
So many reviews claimed that the flavor was unconscionably awful that I expected to need a clear afternoon to vomit in peace. Reviewers spoke of the strength of the metallic taste or the persistence of a metallic or blood flavor; they spoke of vomiting after a single dosage and rushing to send the product back, it was enough to frighten anyone. However, my need is sufficient that I could not give way to fear and would need to adjust to the product, the order had to be placed, I am glad that I did. I would have preferred to find other nutrients, nutrients that enhance the absorption of iron, nevertheless, a bit of magnesium --something that is generally deficient in the western diet anyway-- wouldn't be of any consequence. There was nothing for it, under the tongue it went and... nothing! The flavor was inconsequential, the best description I can give is that it is something like the cream colored leftover material on a cast iron skillet as tasted from a finger. Since I use this --after transferring to a saucepan-- as the base for a meat gravy, I can't really call it unpleasant at all. I took a couple of drops of a full-spectrum B-12 (BioActive B12 Full-Spectrum (Sublingual Drops) an excellent product in its own right and one, for which, I will write an equally glowing review; I wrote this one first because, right now, someone, somewhere, is where I was a few days ago) and all I could taste was the clean cherry flavor. That is to say that I could not detect any remnants of the mild flavor of the iron.It is important to note that I am not incapable of taste, I am not a devotee of high Scoville rating foods, and I have never burnt my tongue beyond "oops, the coffee is still too hot." I am a fan of subtle and delicate flavors such as sushi and sashimi as well as the brighter and bolder flavors of Paella. That is not to say that being able to taste nuanced and delicate flavors is unimportant; indeed, since almost every family in Spain has a particular recipe, not noticing the subtleties might even be indelicate at the least. On the other hand, I do not have the highly sensitive and educated palate of a vintner or the nose of some cigar aficionados. Nevertheless, I feel that I have a sufficiently sensitive palate that I would have noticed a flavor as noxious as others have reported; for myself, I was pleasantly surprised.Regarding those experiences, there is one possibility that would explain why I found the taste as mild and pleasant as I did and those other reviewers did not: my low body iron stores. In as much as those that continued to use this product did find that it elevated their serum iron (hopefully, even in the face of elevated hepcidin) but did not report that the flavor got worse, I do not believe a relationship between stores and the perception of flavor exists in this case; I will update this review should that occur. In conclusion, if you need iron in your blood then this product can help (I will update with a change in iron when I have data to report) and the flavor should not dissuade you. The flavor is mild enough that a drop of B-12 was enough to vanish what flavor there was. Since the instructions recommend divided dosages, I could do 4 dosages if the flavor ever became more noticeable than hospital gravy. As it is, I did 1/2 the daily dosage with three cookies (why even try with an empty stomach eh?) and I did it again an hour later (what can I say, I did not vomit and it did not taste bad, given all the yucky flavor reviews, I wanted to know mine was not a fluke experience!) with the same outcome. It might not be clear but that was one without the B-12 and one WITH.

Tastes Really Bad
I've had this product for a while and I use it a few times per month. After drinking water with the drops in it today, I decided to search for a sublingual form of iron, because these drops really taste bad. I'm sure that the bad taste is an indication of the purity of this product (e.g., no flavors added), but if I dread taking it, I won't allow it to serve its purpose.Today I put only 3 drops in an 8 oz bottle of water and it substantially changed the taste of the water (just 3 drops!).So, the product is great if you didn't mind the taste.

Great for building blood
When I was first pregnant, I had all the symptoms of low iron: breathless, cold, weak feeling in my arms and legs, dizzy, exhausted and so sleepy- I would curl up and fall asleep anywhere! Which is not like me at all. I started taking this and it corrected all of that within a few days. I didn’t even take it as the directions say- to space it out throughout the day- I just took a dropper full once a day in a shot glass with OJ. It has a really bad taste if you try to take it straight or with just water (don’t do that to yourself). My bottle was old and it still worked. I just reordered from here because I’m breastfeeding and it helps my milk supply (bc milk is made from your blood) if I don’t take it my milk supply gets low and i have to thaw milk from the freezer. it’s a great product! I’ll definitely by again and have sent the link to several friends.

Terrible taste
Bought this product because I love the trace minerals D3+ K2 drops. However, these drops are nothing like those. I do not have sensitive taste buds. I can really eat pretty much anything however I tried these twice and nearly vomited. Both times. The color is like a pale, yellow and almost bubbly, which was concerning however, after being assured, that was normal I took the drops and even with juice or coffee it was horrible. I can’t get the taste out of my mouth. taking a shot of vodka or tequila or literally any type of alcohol is 1000000% better than taking these. Do not buy these, this is total miss from Trace Minerals.

Life Changing Product
I started taking iron on doctor's orders for low energy and tingling in my feet. Gonna be real with you...the taste is horrible. But after a week or so of using it, my energy was through the roof (no more need for afternoon naps - which were daily), and the tingling in my feet is gone. Like, GONE. Who knew that was related to an iron deficiency??So now what I do is I put the dropper way back in my throat to bypass the taste buds, and I immediately follow with a chewable vitamin c. It masks the taste and helps with absorption. It's down the hatch and I'm on with my day. The improvement in how I feel far exceeds my dislike of the taste. Well worth it.Highly recommend, I'll keep purchasing for the forseeable future.

Very helpful for me but the taste is tricky 😄👀
Well it works really well for me- better than any iron supplement I've used over many years, so I will make this a regular. The taste is nearly too much for me but I make myself get through it since it helps me so much. I have to close my nose while taking it and a while afterward. It lingers for a while and to me it has a after-taste-smell of wet dog...I realize that sounds dramatic but it feels way for me. But, again, the benefits are well-worth it 👍
