Well designed, solid
I have not used the grill yet. I just put it together. From opening the box to finishing the grill and discarding all of the cardboard, it took just over four hours. All I needed was a box knife and a good Phillips head screwdriver. There was a huge amount of cardboard and packaging to cut up for recycling, and a lot of large foam pieces. The grill came together pretty easily once I got started and understood the pattern of the instructions. The mechanical design is exceptionally good, and all of the parts fit together very well. I didn’t have any issues, though some of the illustrations were not as clear as they could’ve been, and took extra time to read properly. I’m glad I got the model with the extra storage and the extra side grill. But even the base model has some storage underneath. I look forward to using it!Update after 4 months:Love this grill! I got extra accessories that I’ve used a lot: a flat steel plate that I seasoned and have used for smash burgers and pizza, and a smoke box that I’ve used to smoke veggies and steaks. I’m really happy with this grill.

Straight-forward assembly
One of the concerns I had about ordering this grill from Amazon instead of a local hardware store was that I would have to assemble it myself. But the assembly only took a bit under two hours, was relatively straight-forward, and I had the confidence that it was done with care. As far as the product itself, you’re getting the high quality you expect with a Weber. Glad I got the one with the sear zone—not just for the beautiful sear marks, but it creates an extra hot zone if you need it for anything you need to cook at a high temperature.

Rusted downgrade from my 2011 Genesis
What a huge disappointment this grill has been. I bought my first Weber Genesis in the beginning of 2011. We grill about 3 times a week, year round, so it's gotten a lot of good use, and has served us well. At almost 13 years old, it needed quite a few parts replaced, including all the burners, the starter, and flame shields. The interior of the cabinet, was also quite rusted, but it was holding the frame together well.Instead of rebuilding the old grill, with as much as we grill, we decided to get a new Weber Genesis. Ugh! What a mistake. The parts all felt significantly thinner, and lighter than our 2011 Genesis, but I hoped that it would be okay, and that the quality was still there. After spending 5 hours putting it together, I realized the flimsy door was out of alignment. Weber sent me a replacement door. Then, as I was installing a grill light, on the handle, I not noticed the the lid was missing enamel, right on the edge. So, Weber sent me a new lid. While replacing the lid, I noticed that the "stainless" steel side tables, and control panel, had rust marks all over it. I couldn't believe my eyes. The whole reason why I purchased a "new" grill, is because I didn't feel like rebuilding our old grill, when it might only have a few years left. Well, here I am, with my "new" grill, rebuilding it, again, and again, because ALL of the parts are substandard. At this rate, I'd be surprised if this grill lasted 5 years, instead of the 15 that Weber grills used to be known for.Our grill is kept under our lanai, which is closed on 3 sides. It's rolled out, when in use, and rolled back under, after it cools down. The wheels are nicer, and easier to roll on the pavers, and as a new grill, it grills nicely, but likely any new grill will do that, even if they rust out in 12 months. For that reason, I gave it 2 stars. If the grill continues to degrade, I'll update my review accordingly.Buyers remorse is real. I wish I had, at least, looked at other brands, instead of blindly buying an updated version, of my beloved 2011 Genesis.

Great grill with design flaw
This is great grill, I was very excited and impressed by the build quality. However, the side panels are about 8” short exposing wires and gas line. This is fine and not noticeable when standing at the BBQ. Our grill is located outside the kitchen window, when sitting down at our table we look at the exposed wire and gas line. For a grill at this price, brand name, and build quality it is beyond me why there is not a close out as on other grills. As there is an add on storage shelf available that does cover, on one side, the gap, the argument that venting for the propane bottle, is no longer plausible. As a live long Weber customer, I am very disappointed. I did return my grill.

Not impressed
For a $1300+ grill, I am not impressed. Several pieces are poorly manufactured & don’t align when put together. Doors do not hang straight, several areas were bent, some from damage, some appeared manufactured with the defects

Works well but not made to last
At half the price I would give this 5 stars. The functionality is good to start with, but the materials are mostly about short term appearance. Thin stainless scratches quite easily. Plastic sections are sure to age poorly. There are known issues with rust. But while it is quite new, it works well.

Husband LOVES IT!
We put this together pretty quickly using both the written and online 3D instructions. My husband is a griller and smoker.. it’s his life. We splurged because he goes through grills every 1-2 years. He absolutely can’t say enough about this grill.Pros- one tough grill! Sturdy, moves with ease, cooks fantastic (we have yet to use the sear though)Cons- which isn’t even really a con it’s just my husband is bummed the handles don’t light up on this one lolDefinitely worth it and very pleased with the product.
