I had one of these in my kitchen drawer for years. One day it went missing and up until then, I didn't realise just how much I missed using it! After seeing this packet of three for less than a fiver, I jumped at the offer.I now have one back in my kitchen as well as my lounge and in my bedside cupboard drawer. They are ideal for so many uses around the home, and they last for years as long as you don't lose them! They are great for parcel opening and so much better than a standard utility knife as the blade end can be safely snapped off when they become dull & blunt. ... Everybody knows a blunt knife is more blood-thirsty than a nice sharp one!

These have been around for years and very handy as part of my toolbox!

I've used an early desing of this knife, which I found had some flaws. This new design has addressed the flaws.I found in the early design that the blade snapper at the rear is much better as it now has one side exposed which makes it much easier to snap off a single segment as opposed to the early design where you were more likeley to snap off 2 segments, greatly reducing the life of the blade. Also, the blade snapper is now far easier to remove than the previous design.Another improvement is the blade slider, which is more rigid when slid to the required blade length and does not move from the position selected, unless you press it down, so when using the knife, be sure to keep your fingers away from the blade slider.The overall design of the knife is much better too, the ridged design on the bottom makes it easier to gripand has a littlle indentation at the front of the knife at the top for your finger or thumb, depending on which way you hold the knife.The only minus I would give this new design is the lack of the 'clip' on the blade snapper which enabled you to clip it to your pocket like you would with a pen, but I guess it was removed due to the possiblity that the knife could become seperated in your pocket.

One of the blades doesn't open when you push the slider. Really annoying as I cannot see a way to contact the seller. They aren't really expensive but at £3 per blade they should work. If the seller reads this perhaps they can send me a replacement. I've bought in the past and have never had a problem so annoying.
