This knife rivals competition twice and three times it’s price.
I had this knife in my wish list for a little while and would check it from time to time. This time I checked and was happy to see the knife under the $60 mark. I immediately purchased.Packaging: 5/5It came in a standard bubble wrap Amazon package. Once I got to the Off-Grid product box, I could tell whatever inside was quality. The packaging is very clean and professional. The box itself is a magnet latch and sturdy pressed foam lines the inside. The cutout in the foam for the knife is as close to perfect as you can get and holds the knife securely. A catalog and a OFF-GRID sticker were also included.Knife: 5/5The knife has great weight and the G10 handles and scales feel great. The texture is perfect for a secure grip. The blade swings open smooth and flawless, no matter how hard you flick the assist. The blade locks securely and has ZERO movement even without the extra locking mechanism engaged. It’s incredible. The blade is very sharp and there is just enough intentional abrasion around all the edges to give it a worn or slightly used appearance. It’s very clean though and actually adds more detail to the blade. The blade is thick and sturdy, but holds a great, super sharp edge.Cons:The only thing I’m not a fan of is the cutout for the belt clip. I love that it is recessed into the handle and the clip is very solid, but both sides have the cutout so you can switch the way the knife faces in your pocket depending on left or right hand. This means, one side has the clip and the other side has the cutout where the clip could go. It doesn’t effect the knife in anyway, it’s just personal preference. Conclusion: I highly recommend this knife. Even at its original price, it’s a steal. This knife could easily sell for $150-200. It’s that good. So, I would order one now, before they realize what I just said…

Great well built hard use knife
It’s very hard to find things that I dislike about this knife to be brutally honest. The only negative thing I can find is that it is very thick and hard to EDC because of it’s bulkiness. All in all iIt is well built knife that is extremely sharp right out the box and an absolute tank when it comes to completing tasks and overall performance. I am new to the off grid knives scene but am already very impressed. This knife is an absolute steal for the asking price. It performs better than some of my very high end much more expensive knives. I have put it through it’s paces and beat on it with not a care in the world and it still performs like the day I received it. I will continue to purchase knives from this company and really think you should give them a try as well. I highly recommend this off grid viper edc to anyone in the market for a rugged well built quality knife that can take a licking and keep on ticking. Even though this is an absolute joy to hold and handle as a knife it takes up to much real estate in the pocket for my liking. It would be a fantastic knife for outdoor use but not as an EDC. Great job you guys what a great knife. Unfortunately I will be returning the viper but not for quality reasons that’s for sure. I will be purchasing the scorpion next since it has a slimmer profile and can’t wait until then.Brent

Tank of a knife
Off Grid Knives needs more recognition! This thing is built like a tank, with utility in mind. Great detent, nicely gimped flipper tab, and the blade rockets out on super smooth action that feels like an auto. No nonsense handle with reversible clip, and filler tab on opposite side. Nice spear point tanto blade with consistent finish, and laser beam sharp edge. I love knives that are designed with use in mind, over fanciful decorations, and the one is it. The file work on the spine seems just for looks until you extend your pointer to the spine for precise cutting, and then it makes sense. I’m getting another one for my collection, because it would be a shame not to use this one. Get one already!

Excellent knife. Exceeded high expectations. Beat competitors.
I've been trying to find a good tanto flipper or automatic for a month with serious focus. I've owned two offGrid knives in the past ,accidently lost them both, and this is by far an improvement in everything. Build quality. Tolerances. Blade sharpness, finished etc. Nice job offGrid. Can't wait to see what's next with some fancy higher tech steels. My blade has zero and I mean zero wiggle when deployed using some considerable pressure. The finishes are high and all the buttons are recessed I to the handle. It feels super premium and refined and yet ready for your pocket. It's has some heft to be sure. For me it came down to this knife, a Sog vision XR, a Benchmade mediator, a Benchmade claymore, and the honey bear d2 tanto, Kershaw, and gerber to compare for daily carry. This wins hands down. If there was a semi serrated option I'd say best daily knife of all time in my book.If you're on the fence.... Give it a try. I bet you'll love it.

Very sturdy knife!
This is a sturdy, well-built tool! it looks great and functions well. The blade came sharp and the action of the blade is everything that one would hope. The value is also quite high, especially considering that this blade can be purchased at a sale price, as Off Grid Knives often puts their blades on sale. My biggest complaint is how this knife feels in the pocket. One of the draw backs of it's sturdiness is it's size. Despite it's heft, it still is unnecessarily uncomfortable in the pocket, as it has sharp corners and edges that make it difficult to put your hand in the pocket or to store anything else in the same pocket as the knife. Still a good quality knife and a nice addition to my collection.
