Waffle maker:Great item for quick use for the grands, but I love it too. And the color caught my eyes.

I have been using this for last 1 years and really like the product. It is easy to clean.

I will be returning this item. The reason I purchased this waffle maker is because it’s one of the few advertised as being free of harmful chemicals like PFAS, PFAO, lead and cadmium. However, when I received the product, the package box contained a sticker listing ingredients in the product, including “lead sulfochromate yellow” (see photo). I did some research on this chemical, which it turns out is a pigment that does contain lead and chromate, which are both toxic and carcinogenic.I reached out to the manufacturer GreenLife via email to inquire and get more information about this. I received one email response saying they would reach out to the product team and advise, then was ghosted. Heard nothing for over two weeks. This is a real bummer and such a disappointment that companies like this can get away with false advertising.

Sadly, it just doesn't make crispy waffles. If you like wilted waffles, this is the unit for you : )I love that it if not full of harmful chemicals, but why stop there when making the units. Maybe they just don't get hot enough. I've tried leaving my waffles in for a looong time, and it still doesn't get the job done.
