Excellent value for money. Great for 4 Hour Body
Good quality product and brilliant value for money. Easy to measure and dissolves easily in a shaker. It has a lot less foam than other brands.Slightly silky texture which some may not appreciate, but doesn't bother me. The powder does have a bit of an unpleasant flavour, as do all pea protein powders. I just swallow holding my breath and don't taste at all.I shake this first and wait for the foam to dissipate, and then add a scoop of AG1, and consume within 30 minutes of waking as per the Slow Carb diet / Four Hour Body. Gives good and reliable energy early in the day.

Absolutely repulsive to the point of being inedible
On the face of it this seems like a good deal: a large quantity of vegan protein powder for a decent price. However, the taste is so bad that I couldn't drink even a quarter of a serving of it, it's just ghastly.I can't make myself consume this, it tastes like vomit (and may actually make me vomit if I tried to drink it all)It doesn't matter how good the price is if the product is so disgusting you can't even use it. This is the first time I've bought a Bulk product and it will be the last - I'm guessing it's cheap because they're struggling to get rid of this slop.Atrocious taste and terrible value for money in the sense that it's completely unusable so it doesn't matter how little it costs.

Really well priced
Really smooth and mixes well, soy free, thickener free, and only uses stevia which is really great. Nice vanilla flavour !!

Tastes bad, good price, doesn't mix well, might buy again
There is a lot 'bad' to say about it, but it's a good price and it does what it needs to do. I bought the banana version, it's not great but it's also not the worst. It definitely tastes of peas, and the powder is more like clay. very hard to mix, quite dense. I thought I got short-changed when I emptied the bag into my 2.25 container, but it must just be heavier than the usual powder I get because it didn't fill to the brim. I think in future I would get the un-flavoured version (because it would just taste like pea) and I'd mix it with soup or noodles, etc. That said, I've only tried it with water, not milk.EDIT - a week later - I actually don't mind it now. I've got used to it. It mixes well in a pint glass with milk. It takes a while to get used to the boiled pea taste but honestly it's not that bad!

Great macros, great value, not so great flavour
As a pea protein, I was expecting the taste to be pretty bland and it certainly is, doesn't taste like vanilla at all, only tastes of sweetener. However, mixes quite well with water/dairy free drinks and makes nice and thick shakes with other add-ons (sugar free syrup, flavorings, coffee, peanut butter, fruits...).Bland taste means I can add this to anything and everything - I have used it to make protein shakes, pancakes and bakes so far, and worked surprisingly well. Keeps you full for hours! Value is great too.I would recommend.

Brilliant when used in the right way
I see a lot of negative reviews for this product which are very unfair.Yes, this powder tastes horrible when mixed with just water (or as one reviewer tried, coffee?). Complaining about this is like buying turmeric and complaining that it makes your strawberry milkshake taste weird. It is unflavoured protein that has been extracted from peas, it tastes exactly like it sounds. When you start using it as an ingredient in other things, however, it is much much better.I have found this protein powder to be very well suited to things that other powders are not. For instance, whey protein congeals into disgusting lumps when mixed into any hot liquid, but pea protein does not. I like to mix it into spicy soups, which the savoury pea flavour works very well with.If you want to use it in shakes, you definitely need to add sweetness (unless you want a savoury shake?). My current protein shake recipe is to blend a scoop of this powder with milk, frozen berries, an egg and a pinch of sucralose (bulk powders sells this too). I actually prefer this to the version made with whey protein (unflavoured). I've not tried it with almond milk or vegan alternatives to milk, but it will probably work too. Adding a banana will make the shake thicker and creamier too.I will continue to buy this powder, and also will continue to buy whey protein, and as a rule of thumb, use the whey in sweet recipes and the pea stuff for anything savoury. If you want something that you can just mix into water and shake, don't get this, get one of the flavoured powders.

Tastes fine!!!!!
I really can not understand the other reviews here complaining about the taste. It does not have a strong distinctive taste at all and when added to a banana smoothie, as I take it, I can't taste it at all. I've used hemp protein in the past and that stuff tastes like ground up dirt with a similar consistency. What I will say is this does make very thick shakes so be warned you may have to use a little more liquid than normal to make it drinkable.Another bonus of pea protein is that it is a rather good addition to baking. I'm gluten intolerant so I'm constantly experimenting with different flours to get better results in my baking. Adding pea protein powder to biscuits, cakes and bread has had some rather excellent results. It is still no substitute for having gluten but my cake game has reached a new level. There are obvious pros and cons with nearly all whey substitutes and this is no different. But it really doesn't taste that bad (not like pea at all if anything I'd say it was rather pleasant) and the price is insanely good for the amount you get, even if you only end up using it in baking you'll get some great results and your monies worth.

Appalling flavour, ok protein content and low fat
Virtually all reviewers here (including the five-star reviews) seem to agree the flavour is terrible. They are right. The flavour is not strong, but it is a bit as if someone blended together peas, coconut, and chalk. The chocolate one tastes much better.Bulk is pea protein isolate is 76% protein, which is ok (many other options are 80%) and a low-fat vegan option if that's what you're looking for. But, you may have to hold your nose to experience the benefit.
