This Chair Does the Trick - Almost!
Update, 04/20/24: One more star knocked off - neither of the charging ports on the side of this chair work!!! I didn’t buy the chair for that feature, but it would seem if they are going to include the ports and talk about how convenient they are, the ports should actually WORK. Now I am afraid to try the speakers, for fear that they, too, will be non-functional. Poor quality control, evidently. If you’re thinking of buying this chair for this feature, you might want to think again. As delivered, the chair looks identical to the photo. It arrived in two shipments, one five days after ordering and one six days after ordering. It is BIG, and HEAVY - I had to corral friends to help me with both bringing it inside and assembling it, though the assembly looked pretty easy from what I could see - really less than five minutes. Then it's just a matter of plugging it in, and you're good to go. The actual power line to the plug is reasonably long, which is a nice touch.I wanted a recliner that looked different than all the other boxy-type recliners you see everywhere, and this chair delivers on that in spades. The contemporary styling is very nice, to me. The material ("silicone leather") seems to be substantial and hopefully will stand up to my kitty's claws. She doesn't scratch the furniture, but she does love to sleep in my lap, so it's the initial push-off when she gets up that can do the damage. The motor is whisper quiet, and you can stop the recliner at any point by just letting go of the power button. I have not yet used the stereo speakers because I am an earbud fan, but I'm sure they would be useful to play soothing music if you're rocking a baby to sleep. The rocker feature is also very nice. I have yet to figure out the purpose of the ambient lighting below the recliner - I guess it would be good if you had guests in the house so they wouldn't stub their toes on the recliner, but it can be turned off as well with another switch next to the power recline switch. There are also charging ports on the right side of the recliner, which is very handy.Comfort? Well, this is a really BIG chair, and I am a short person, so I have to scoot back in order to really sit in it. Even with the included lumbar "pillow", it offers absolutely no support whatsoever to your back. So I had to put a lumbar pillow on my lovely new chair, but it does really help with support. Also, there is no way to just have the footrest come up without making the back of the chair recline, so I subtracted a star for that. I now have a separate footrest in front of my chair so I can support my legs without reclining. It does recline all the way back, so you could take a nice nap in this chair. Otherwise, it's pretty comfortable and it does look very nice in my living room.I would say this chair was a pretty good value for the money I paid for it. I looked literally everywhere and could not find a chair like this at any other retailer. I did, however, find plenty of much uglier (to me) chairs at much higher prices. And as I said, one of those boxy recliners was totally out of the question for me. Shipping was reasonably quick via UPS, and everything was packed well. One caveat: this has one of those huge plugs on it that takes up the whole outlet unless you put it in the bottom receptacle, so I had to order an outlet extender, since that plug was already occupied with my video doorbell equipment, but those are inexpensive so it was no big deal. Instructions were pretty basic, but adequate. I did purchase the all-inclusive Amazon Protection Plan for a little more than $16 a month, just in case something were to go wrong. It's a good deal, because I have so much other stuff I have purchased through Amazon that it will cover even things I bought prior to buying the plan. The bottom line on this chair? I am pleased with it, but not ecstatic, due to the footrest issue. However, I am reasonably sure I got the best of the available deals on this style of chair - it was the only one I saw like it that came with Prime shipping. There was another one identical to it on Amazon, but it was about $50 more, plus an additional $90 or so for shipping because it didn't have Prime, so I'm glad I saw this one. My dad laughed when I told him I purchased a recliner on Amazon, but from what I saw at the local furniture stores, I actually got a really good deal on the chair I really wanted! Would I do it again? Yes, I would.

Only Received Half of the Recliner!
This is the second time I’ve tried ordering this recliner and both times I only received the bottom half. This recliner is supposed to come in two packages, but again, I am being sent only the bottom. This is so frustrating… only reason it’s two instead of 1 stars is because it does look like a nice, comfy bottom.

Not complete
I only received the bottom half of the recliner! And was told to send it back as the back rest was unavailable. Now I have to wait up to 30 days for a refund before I can buy another chair. I’m extremely upset!!
